Ringling's Rivals

This was yet another of the series entries of a kid comedy rival of Hal Roach's Rascals/Our Gang shorts series called Hey Fellas! The leader is Cliff Daniels the brother of OG's Mickey Daniels. He and his friends see a billboard for a circus which inspires them to make their own. A rival gang attends. I'll just now say there are some funny gags involving liquid squirting at some faces. Also, one of the black kids is playing a wild native that might give one pause in this day and time. Another scene that did involved another black boy who was temporarily taken up by a bunch of helium balloons. I saw a 10-minute version on YouTube with most of the intitles taken out. Credited for writing those was a Pinto Colvig, later to be the voice of Goofy. This was worth a look with some amusing gags and nothing else.
