The movie revolves around "Maga" and "Muni" both the roles played by Arya. To begin with, the movie starts with a man being in an asylum. Then it moves on to the lives of the two individuals and how their paths intersect at a juncture. The stand out things in this movie are editing, BGM, and screenplay. Although many people may feel that the narration might be a bit slow, I differ from this opinion and according to me, it the narration which keeps audience guessing about the story line. Overall, this movie is another milestone for the director after Mounaguru. A must watch for every cinema lover.

Success of the movie is that, it takes you inside the story! The way they narrate the story is brilliant, Arya and both the heroins have given their best performance! Director after 8 years has given a massive strong Comeback!

What makes Magamuni stand out from routine Tamil films in recent time is director-writer Santhakumar's writing and an extraordinary performance from Arya as Maga and Muni. Thaman's music and BGM is a huge asset to Magamuni. Cinematographer Arun Padmanaban's lighting, color tone and the angles used to capture the distinct lives of Maga and Muni deserve applause. Overall, Magamuni is a classic mainstream revenge thriller which is a must-watch for its solid writing and flawless performances of the lead actors. We are going with four out of five for Magamuni. Go for it!

After Naan Kadavul, Arya has gotten a chance to prove his acting skills with a terrific performance in dual roles. Santhakumar has treated the film as a spiritual sequel to his earlier film Mounaguru and has done an excellent job especially in the screenplay. BGM by Thaman was decent and kollywood should use him more. Overall a good watch for the weekend if you are a fan of thrillers

Completely different level of flim making from Santhakumar. Very intense screenplay to deliver this crime revenge drama. Everyone could feel the fear and pain.

Arya's top notch performance after 'Naan kadavul' and equally well supported by Mahima Nambiyar and Indhuja.👌

Screenplay, script writing is amazing. All characters are portraited superbly. Dialogues are sensational. Especially ' Philosophy of understanding god'. Must watch Tamil movie in recent times.

You know you're going to be in for a serious movie experience when the director of Mounaguru is at it again. Without any commercial compromises, Magamuni was no different than expected. It mainly revolves around 2 different Arya's (Maha and Muniraj) who have their own lifestyles and problems. Because of their similar looks, each of them get dragged into the other's problems and what happens forms the rest of the story.

The biggest positive in the movie was the performances from the lead characters, especially Arya. The way he differentiated both characters and added life to them was exemplary. One wishes Arya selects more good roles like this in future.

The slow paced screenplay is definitely not a negative in my opinion but it also won't work for everyone. Despite that, this movie is definitely worthy of a watch because of the great performances, dialogues and BGM.

The movie starts well and somewhere lost the plot. Either screenplay or editing one of the deptts did bad job with so many loose ends. Arya is ok.

Good screen play with a flawless story,every scenes were made with excellent logic work.None of the logics won't disappoint you.Director did the good art woth wholeheartedly.Happy to see this kind of movies in tamil.Arya was amazing ,he live as a character.Every actors done their job in excellentanner.great cinematography.Amazing background score,it linear with the story.That one song was thoughtful.

Superb thriller movie.. Double action performed by Arya is different from other movie.First half an hour and last half an hour are very interesting and thrilling and in bettwen there is some lag in the movie. There is no song in the movie which makes us happy..... One time watchable thriller movie.

This movie is not good, with its horrible pacing, uninteresting and uncreative story, and it's trailer being nothing like the actual movie. It tries to be something new and different but fails miserably.

I do not recommend watching in theatres or even buying a DVD version of it.

Perfect treat for unusual movie lovers . This movie is technically strong but commercial movie lovers won't like this.

New wave of directors are making great movies and this is one of the finest example of that. Move our mass heroes. It is the Era of Directors. Great performance by cast and crew. Special mention to the director Shanthakumar and his team. Looking forward to your next! Please don't make us wait another 8 years.

Magamuni is one of those films where the sum is, unfortunately, lesser than its parts. While the film does manage to hold the tension until the end, you walk out wondering if that was all. That question makes me put it in the space between a good film and a great film. And that sometimes makes all the difference !!

@aryaoffl gives a measured performance, with equal composure for the most part !!

@musicthaman makes an exciting comeback with a chilling score !!

The craft in Magamuni is splendid. Santhakumar and editor Sabu Joseph piece together a terrific narrative that maintains mood and intrigue !!

I saw this movie in madurai kaasi theatre,not that good with surroundings.yet it had packed audiences in thier 40s .This has good story ,not much logic lags for crime action movie.The reason it has good rating by audience of old age is the message it has in its dialogue .diologues deeply shows the characters rather than the flashback not one.Overall good movie

Good Movie. Everybody acted very well in the movie. Songs were not needed in the movie but the BGM was excellent. The fight scenes and the story was also fresh. The movie bored a bit at 1st half with some lagging scenes. In the 2nd half, the movie was so interesting and thrilling. This movie is one of the best movie of Arya and one of the Best Tamil Movie of 2019. Good Movie.

The movie is clueless till the end. The direction & script of the movie is just superb. BGM is another backbone of the movie. aryaoffl nailed it in dual role with his performance. ActressIndhuja as vijji just fabulous I loved it.

Watch this one before sarpattaparambarai ,otherwise you will run away from the theatre.

I won't say that this is a good movie and at the same time won't claim that this a bad movie. This movie makes has few twists and plots but those twists and plots can be made more clear and well thought of. The acting by Arya and other counterparts is good. To sum up I would say this is a one time watch movie.

This director has his own style of slow-moving scenes kinda movie making. He concentrates more on the reactions of the listener than the person delivering the dialogue as most of the scenes conveys the same. Although a different kinda twins based tale, for me it lacked to keep me engaged throughout the film especially in the 2nd half. BGM was good but everything else could've been better.

The plot,music, characters every inch of this movie is strong and i meant.this is india and still be like this for as many years and the team behind the movie has shown no mercy.Movies like this should not be avoided at any cost should be valued

An mind-blowing movie after years. Arya acting and the story makes it a perfect movie.
