Mukherjee Dar Bou is a story based on a modern dysfunctional family revolving around the complex and intricate yet caring relationship of a mother-in-law and daughter-in-law. The story revolves around a Bengali home maker whose name is not known till the end of the film, and who is mostly referred as "Mukherjee Dar Bou". Mukherjee Dar Bou (Aditi) is married for more than ten years and has a daughter of six years old . Aditi's married life was usual but it takes a turn when her father-in-law passes away.

This is just outstanding movie, everyone need to watch this.

This is a gem and quite an exception in Bengali films

The film released on 2019. But i didn't know about this film back right then considering the horrible condition of Bengali films right now. I watched it today. I have to say this is one of the best Bengali movies i have seen in a long time. The film carefully analyses the situation of the women in our family and the so called patriarchal society is not only harming only women but men too. This is quite refreshing to watch a movie on a topic which is common thing in daily soaps. The performances are top notch. Script is adorable too.

We often say where are those Bengali films. Who says those, please show them this film. I am too much happy to see the film. This films says the need of an identity for each and every woman. Dialogues are heart-touching. Music and camera are extraordinary. No such star in the film, although the films acclaims a huge critical responses means the actors are superb.....and it also a sign of the theory that a good film means good acting with good storyline, not the stardom.
