If You Only Knew

I saw this movie in a Private Screening done by Production. It has a great mixture of feelings. Laughter from one of the characters that kept my emotions "balanced." Tears from both happiness and sadness from the struggles of a mother suffering by domestic violence, a bitter son, and Alzheimer's disease. Suspense, through out a couple of pieces in the movie - with unexpected endings. An opportunity to change the point of view about Alzheimer's patients' "world." Anyone involved in the patient care industry, anyone with a family member suffering from this disease, anyone that is affecting others of being affected by alcoholism and/or domestic violence ... cannot and should not miss this film. The music goes very well with the "up's and downs" in the audience' emotions. The art department did an awesome job - making each scene detailed and according to the script/time line. The picture quality is unbelievable.

Absolutely one of the cheesiest movies I've ever had the displeasure of watching. I had to quit after 30 minutes. It rated a 6.6 on IMDB. However, I should have checked out how many people rated it. 46! That means friends and family of everyone involved in the production voted for it. Absolutely everything about this so-called film was horrendous. The acting was terrible, the writing was awful. The sets were like something out of a high school play. Even the music was lousy. And the movie had just about every cliche in the book included, in case you didn't "get it". Wow. If you want to see one of the worst movies I've seen in ages, watch this film!

This is an interesting story, especially for those whose lives have been touched by alzheimers or dementia. one can appreciate all Louise did for Carlo and for herself and how proud she was for where she had gotten them. you can see how scared she was (and her family) as she declined. my only "issue" with the movie is that it seemed like every actor/actress was brand new on the job. no one seemed quite like they knew what they were doing, except the doctor and perhaps Breeze. But they were ones with fewer acting jobs! production crew kind of missed the mark as well. i get that this was not a big budget blockbuster, but i feel like there was enough room for improvement even on a small scale.

The most astonishing part about this movie, is that it shows not only how the disease affects just the main character, but every member in the family. Educates you on the early signs while still being able to entertain you and keep your attention (because it is still a movie). Its one of my new favorite movies. When i first saw it, I meant to come back to find it, and I've wrecked my brain on how to find it, and I'm so glad I did. Definitely a new jewel of mine. My nana succumbed to Alzheimers in 2013, and at first we didn't recognize the signs, but after watching this movie it was crystal clear all along. Definitely a great movie for anyone to watch.

This movie is one of those sad cases when a movie COULD have been really good, but you can just hear the raspberry blowing as the metaphorical balloon deflates.

Because of the subject of Alzheimer's, I wish this had been a good movie. At first, I could feel Louise's hopelessness, both at her diagnosis and at her home situation in the flashbacks. My own dad had Alzheimer's, so I worry about it for myself in the future. The movie, however, was so fake it didn't let me get pulled into the reality of it, which was good for me but bad for the movie.

I see what they were trying to do with the back-and-forth through time, but it didn't work.

The dialogue was cheesy to the point of losing sympathy for the characters.

The whole movie felt like watching a first-time rehearsal rather than a finished movie. Most of the actors were so bad it was embarrassing to watch, especially Bob, Carlo, and Anna. The actors playing Louise and Breeze were ok. As for the actor playing Fred, it's hard to tell since his character was written to be such a stereotype.
