Dr Corder has his work cut out. He has been consulted by Margo Gotha whose young son has issues.

Margo seems to live a party lifestyle, drinks too much and has close friendships with other men. Her husband does not seem to mind but both of them argue a lot.

Corder becomes interested with the volatile husband Tim Gortha. He is a building contractor, a German emigre who comes from a famous family who were successful industrialists in their homeland.

Gortha has a pathological need to be driven and be successful. It means taking risks in his latest building project as well as neglecting his family.

Edward Judd is rather commanding as Tim Gotha, he really is a livewire would could go off at anytime.

The episode tries to examine complex psychological issues. I did think in the process the wife and children were forgotten somewhat.

Doctor Corder is visited by Margo Gotha, who's husband Tim is making her life her misery, her son is out of control, but is he the problem, or his overbearing, overambitious father?

Not my favourite episode this one, but it's a solid, watchable debit to the second series.

I thought the story was a little bit patchy, the opening few moments were really intriguing, the boy's problems seemed to be leading somewhere, but they were just forgotten about.

Tim's story was interesting enough, but I found it a little underwhelming, I think my expectations are just so high.

The best element, without a shadow of a doubt, is the performance of Edward Judd, who delivers a commanding performance as Tim, I thought Sylvia Sims was great too.

Watch out for a jaw dropping young Wanda Ventham, who plays the nurse.
