Series writer Derren Litten has opened a bar in Benidorm which features many original props and artefacts from the series production. It is called Matteos bar after a popular character from the show.
Each season takes place over the course of a week.
Mateo (Jake Canuso) is the only character to appear in every episode of the series. Mateo and Jacqueline (Janine Duvitski) are the only characters to appear in all ten seasons.
From season 3 onwards. the hotel reception is different to the other seasons.
The exterior of Neptune's changes during the series. in the first and second series, you can see Neptune's is in the hotel area and looks like a hall with steps by it. however in the later seasons, the bar in in the middle of a street.
