Awesometown

This is a funny pilot that was done for Fox but never aired since Fox rejected the concept. A search for the Awesometown video on Google or another search engine will lead you to 20 minutes of fun in this quirky show. It was apparently intended to be a 30 min show featuring the boys listed here. Their budding comic genius sparkles here in the perpetually perky and perfect every town, USA. The occasional introduction of reality into the sketches makes for great comic tension. It is certainly worth a look. You'll leave wanting more episodes and you will hum the Awesometown songs all day.

While the concepts are simple, the sketches are well done. Just Two Guys Having a Good Time and Castaways are memorable, but it's the theme that makes it great.

This pilot is completely unwatchable and unfunny

The opening introduction by Jack Black is mildly funny, but he's not even in the show and it just declines after that.

It feels like this pilot is trying to be The Whitest Kids You Know, The Whitest Kids You Know is actually funny though.

I picked it up with a huge collection of unaired pilots, some that didn't get picked up at all (like this one) some that got changed (bobs burgers or Big Bang theory) Some are nearly identical, but they just changed one of the actors (The mom in 2 1/2 men or Star Trek Voyager) some for shows that ended up getting picked up on other stations (deal or no deal or Snowfall)

So if you like things like that, and you have some time to watch unaired pilots, it's actually really cool

But this one just sucks.
