Anecdotes
With "All That Glitters Isn't Smurf" being the first episode Farmer Smurf appears in, he has a very different voice compared to the rest of the series. He sounds similar to Poet Smurf with a Southern drawl, likely meaning that he was voiced by Frank Welker.

Gaffes
An early scene and near the end of "All That Glitters Isn't Smurf" show Papa Smurf using a magic formula to help Farmer grow his pumpkins faster. However, pumpkins did not grow in Europe until they were imported from North America by early European settlers in the early 17th century. The background of the Smurf cartoon series is the late Middle Ages (circa 14th-15th century), early for the appearance of pumpkins in Europe.
