L'insoutenable vérité

The victim is killed at her mothers house in an arson fire, the house & contents were destroyed, but only days later the mother is sitting in her pristine yellow & white living room. Also, in the last scene she is moving out of the house, with movers in the background loading up a whole lot of not burned items 😜 some of the acting was stellar, except for the murderer and his victim, they should probably enroll in an acting class. I thought it was a true story at first, till I googled it, and wound up here. So kinda interesting, just poorly executed. The lead actress could summon up tears on par with Demi Moore in ghost😜

I thought this was a very well made film.I watched it last night on Lifetime and was captivated very early on.I thought the chemistry between Philip Granger and Michelle Forbes was amazing and I enjoyed seeing these two excellent actors together.I believed these two had spent many years working the beat together.I would like to see more of them as a team.Philip Granger's charm and Michelle Forbe's hardness works well. I also felt great compassion for Racheal Haywards character.The mother of young girl taken too soon.I can only imagine how painful it would be to have to endure a child's murder.Gary Chalk is always good as the police captain.The story was one I did not expect and when the killers identity is exposed I was stunned. A Powerful film.

There isn't a moment of redemption in this movie. It's one horrible thing after another. It's basically a zombie movie with the lumbering plot and flashes of brutality standing in for the monsters. How is this movie, played on Lifetime, for women? It's so incredibly violent and disgusting. Since when do women get off on these kinds of movies? Who would willingly view an hour and a half of acts of extreme violence -- rape, murder, arson -- just to have a "good cry"? What kind of screwed up, suburban morality is that? Is your soul that devoid of humanity? If so, this weepy, manipulative, OBVIOUS, violent, cry-baby movie is for you.

A waste of two hours. Try as hard as I can to be a supportive spouse; it was all I could do sit though this. The plot was thin and entirely predictable. There was little if any true chemistry between any of the major characters. The usual hackneyed stereotypes populate this movie-the gruff police captain, the stern African American female judge, the sleazy defense lawyer. The characters were all two-dimensional with no depth at all. No character development in a two hour movie. Most college film students could have done better. The melodramatic music did little to help the overall production.

No surprise outcome, no eleventh hour save. A waste of celluloid. Don't waste your time

Apart from looking a little like a "B" movie, I think this movie is a very realistic look an an "unthinkable" event with very good acting. It really puts into perspective the bad choices a person can make when they are under the influence of alcohol. I know first hand how you can turn into a monster when drunk; it's a scary thing. I couldn't imagine being in the shoes of the mother of a murderous son that made a very bad decision. I think the choices she had to make were very realistic. Not all movies have to have a happy ending! This movie teaches you of the dangers of alcohol abuse and sends a very important message to anyone that watches it.
