Kudiyon Ka Hai Zamaana

Amar Butala should have gotten a razzie nomination for this pathetic flick. The direction is so amateurish! I don't even know where to start. With talents like Mahima and Rekha you would expect at least something decent. The camera seems to focus more on Mahima's boobs. Why did Butala make her look so cheap? Her outfits were downright trashy (inconsistent with her character). The dialogues are so awful (many of which are stolen from American sitcoms), the plot has no focus and characters are poorly written. There wasn't much Rekha and Mahima could do except refuse the film (which they should have). They didn't seem interested in their respective roles. Kim Sharma needs to take acting lessons and Vasundhara Das hams beyond belied. Ashmit Patel should be banned from cinema. Except for the title songs, the rest leave your mind immediately. But even though the title song has some nice beats it is utterly forgettable like the movie (which in fact is best forgotten). Avoid at all costs. Or watch it to learn how to not make a bad film.

I have seen this move on 21st of Dec. 2006 on the cable in Pakistan BUT the movie was going to release on 29th of Dec. but has been postponed for one week more means it was finally going to release on 5th of Jan. 2007. Anyway don't watch this movie because all you will get to see the overacting by Rekha, Vasundhra Das and Kim Sharma. Mahima Chaudary was their only to show her cleavage. Ashmit Patel lack of expressions. Only decent performance by Sachin Khedekar but he shouldn't be doing such kind of movies. Direction was not up to the mark. Songs were not soulful. The choreography was just okay. But you will ask yourself that what a legend like rekha is doing in such kind of film. At the end, don't watch this movie Rating: 1 out of 10

Kudiyon Ka Hai Zamana review :

Those of you considering Veere Di Wedding (2018) and Four More Shots Please (2019) as India's answer to Sex and the City...nah dudes, Madame Rekha had teamed up with Mahima Chaudhary, Kim Sharma and Vasundhara Das to bring us our own desi version way back in 2007. Sorry, Kareena and Swara aunty, the eternal diva Rekha beat you there. Heehee!!

Kudiyon Ka Hai Zamana had practically the same plot as Veere...and some non actors posing as the male leads - Ashmit Patel being one of them. Sachin Khedekar was laughable as Rekha's accomodating hubby.

Ofcourse, the focus was obviously on the lady quadro and Madame Rekha with the extremely beautiful Mahima in cleavage revealing outfits made this Kudiyon Ka hai Whateva...a bearable watch at just two hours of run time. I had seen the film at Premiere Cinema, Parel at the time of its release. Caught it today on OTT platform and found it better than the highly overrated Veere Di Wedding. Atleast, its unpretentious!!

Just can't figure out why all the newspapers have given negative reviews to this movie. Is something wrong with our movie critics?

So much identification with the characters in the move. The reviewers seemed to have missed the point completely.

See it once and you will agree. Good music, a refreshingly different theme which could happen in our lives too.

Unfortunately, a lot of English dialogues, though translated later into Hindi. Not a movie for the masses but for classes

A good first time directorial attempt by Amar Butala. Rekha has done a fantastic job of portraying an ageing socialite.

Ashmit Patel brings a fresh look and Mahima has appeal!!! Kim is the prefect representation of a scatter brain one sees on party circuits.
