The Spiral Project

There is no doubt that Jarrett Slavin has a very bright, promising future ahead of him in film. Spiral Project was his very first attempt at screen writing and directing - and is done with so much professionalism and maturity. The fact that MTV saw the merit in his talent to select him as one of 5 finalists for the Student Film Awards speaks volumes. He was chosen over several hundred others, many of whom were older than Jarrett, and had several previous experiences in writing/directing film. I am very much looking forward to Jarrett's future projects - I am sure we all have many very exciting, unique films to look forward to - he is very passionate about writing/directing and with his talent and determination, we will be hearing the name Jarrett Slavin a great deal in the future. Spiral Project was a fantastic beginning.

Spiral does a great job of weaving important life messages in a terrific plot. The actors are real, believable and have a way of pulling you in. This may be one of the most under-rated movies of 2006. I think some country is going to pick this movie up and make it mandatory for all adolescents as they come of age. The party scenes are hot. Good lighting Decent scenes Soundtrack could be improved but generally good Liked the lead actor's passion and realism. Movie could use a couple sequels following up on the main characters. I like the industrial settings mixed with the story. Kind of reminds me of the breakfast club meets 25 hours

I thought this was a great film. I found the story to be excellent and I thought the directing was really terrific. There is a reason this film was nominated for an MTV movie award. It had it all. Great acting, great writing, awesome directing. The plot was well thought out and the story was gripping. There wasn't a scene I would change in telling the story. I was totally blown away by the ending. I loved it from start to finish. I think this is just the beginning of a long writing and directing career for Jarrett Slavin. His vision was brilliant. I am really looking forward to his next project. I can't say enough of about the acting as well. It was spot on. BRAVO!!!!!!!!

I really actually enjoyed watching the spiral project. when considering all of the factors that went in to making this movie, i really thought it turned out well. this was Jarrett Slavin's first feature length film, and it was done with many amateur actors. the fact that in spite of the limitations of many of the people he was working with the spiral project came out as well as it did is amazing. many full budget, completely professionally (not just directors, but actors, sets, etc.) Hollywood movies have many more issues with them that the spiral project does. yes, certain things go unexplained... but did you see the Sentinel? in my opinion, the spiral project was an amazing film. the last 5 minutes of the Spiral project are enough to make you forget that some of the actors are College Students, driving their personal cars, etc. i would recommend this movie to anyone.
