The Second Husband and the Showgirls

Auntie Wainwright has decided to open a dating agency after finding out how much Smiler spends on them.

Tom and Smiler sign up thinking they are going to go out with a couple of showgirls interested in horses.

Meanwhile Truly is in shock when his ex-wife's new husband calls round wanting Truly to sign some insurance document. There is animosity between the two but all is well when two women challenge both of them to an arm wrestling contest. The women Tom and Smiler are supposed to meet in the pub.

For some unfathomable reason Howard spends his time in the episode trying to act cool towards Pearl. He comes across as a prat to me.

Glenda makes an observation in this episode which most of the audience clocked many years ago. Glenda wonders why some of the ladies such as Nora or Pearl ever got married.

Actor Tony Melody makes an appearance in this episode as the pub landlord. He dubbed the voice of actor John Comer in Getting Sam Home.
