Anecdotes
The Tanner girls' impromptu trip to New Zealand is inspired by actual events. In 1985, California native Michael Lewis, coming home from vacation in West Germany, reached Los Angeles International Airport. He intended to take a connecting flight to his home in Oakland, but accidentally followed a crowd of passengers to the Air New Zealand terminal (there, he told employees his destination, but he was misheard as saying "Auckland" and was given a boarding pass). Upon reaching the city, Air New Zealand officials promptly gave Lewis a return ticket to Los Angeles.

Gaffes
There is only about a six week gap in the show between seasons 5 and 6, but Nicky and Alex seemingly age two full years in that time frame--they already have super long hair.

This episode was before 9/11.

Donnayankee is an idiot or a troll. Do you not understand the concept of time? Just because you watched it after 9/11 doesn't mean the events of the show happened then. Also Danny did not LET them get on the plane.

Anyways, this episode I haven't seen since the show was still on and it's just like I remember it. Only I'm able to understand everything. The boy's accent was New Zealander, Auckland/Oakland. This is where I first learned of Auckland too. Nicky and Alex are SO FREAKIN ADORABLE! Even more than I remember. This is where the show's intro is what I remember cuz they had a long intro before.

Just shows how much of a joke airport security was BEFORE 9/11, donnayankee.
