Production designer Aaron Osborne and cinematographer Scott Kevan attempted to enhance the color scheme of the comics, where only two to three colors were used to convey the tone of each setting, so they charted the whole movie with certain color schemes for each location, and different shades as time passed("Every chapter of the comic books is a new environment distinguished by different color palettes - so every time we are in a new city or country, the aesthetic of the film changes completely, so there is no homogeneous look. It's very eclectic.").

Gaffes
(at around 46 mins) At Houston when Clay is with the blueprints, you can clearly hear the Coqui in the background of the scene which is an endemic frog from Puerto Rico.

Underrated gem of non-pretentious intelligent fun

Will someone please put Jeffrey Dean Morgan in more intelligent dark humor action leads? He is just amazing as a charming rogue leader of the marry band, and Chris Evans is an unexpected comic relief with nuanced performance and expansive range of acting.

Interesting take on comic book based action flick. It never looses a momentum or pace, it's through and through fun, but if you pay a bit of attention, you will see darker undercurrents and rather deep connotations. Well directed, well paced and entertaining all the way through.

There is no pretense here, but that's why the depth of characters and the story comes through in those shining moments. This would be action flick for cool guys and thinking girls.
