On July of 2012 the screenplay by Francisco Payó González and Beto Gómez was included in the Core Library of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) to serve as reference for students and specialists.
The languages spoken in the movie are: Spanish, Arabic, Turkish, Russian and English.
Two members of the "Comando Tomate" (Tomato Commando) previously appear as villains in the James Bond movie 007 Quantum of Solace (2008): Joaquín Cosio played General Medrano, and Jesús Ochoa played Lt. Orso against the Daniel Craig incarnated Bond.
