Song Eun Chae is in Australia as the coordinator of famous idol Choi Yune. After a disappointment she runs away only to be mugged and left behind by some street guys. One of them, Cha Moo Hyuk, feels sorry for her and he lets her follow him and they spend the night sleeping on the streets together. Meanwhile Choi Yune tries to woo famous actress Kang Min Joo who is also Song Eun Chae's friend. Cha Moo Hyuk's ex-girlfriend Moon Ji Young plans to get married to a rich Australian man Jason. After faithful encounter at their wedding Cha Moo Hyuk's life is never the same again.

Cha Moo Hyuk doesn't know how long he has to life. He returns to Korea to look for his birth mom. He discovers he has a twin sister who has a mental disability. His nephew provides for his mom and himself. Song Eun Chae has returned to Korea with Choi Yune. Unaware of her feelings Yune keeps enlisting Eun Chae to help him capture Kang Min Joo's heart. Cha Moo Hyuk discovers more about his birth parents. Coincidentally Moo Hyuk's and Eun Chae's paths cross again.

Cha Moo Hyuk is trying to come to terms with the knowledge of his mother leaving him and his sister. He acts out violently. His path keeps crossing Eun Chae's path. At a performance when Choi Yune is confronted with his two-timing girlfriend he tries to proof to Min Joo that he is the one for him. After Moo Hyuk saves Yune's life from drowning, he tries to become closer to his "little brother".

As Moo Hyuk and Yune get closer, Moo Hyuk's feelings get more complicated. Kang Min Joo and Choi Yune settle their relationship. Song Eun Chae feels an attraction to the strange Moo Hyuk. Cha Moo Hyuk stays over in Choi Yune's room and has his first real confrontation with "his mom".

Mu-hyuk becomes Yoon's manager, and plans to seduce Min-joo little by little. Meanwhile, Eun-chae faints while trying to clean up the mess Oh Dul-hee made, and Mu-hyuk stays by her side all night nursing her.

When Mu-hyuk sees the cheerful mother-son relationship of Oh Dul-hee and Yoon, his heart burns with hatred and anger. Mu-hyuk slips a picture of Yoon with Eun-chae to the tabloids to put a huge dent on Yoon's teen idol image.

After Min Joo tells Yoon how Eun Chae really feels about him, Eun Chae decides to go on a trip, but not before saying goodbye to Moo Hyuk.

As Yoon uses Seo kyung to get Eun Chae to come back home, Seo Kyung's curiosity gets the better of her when she wander into Deul Hee's room.

In the hospital, Yoon realizes that the woman he truly loves is Eun-chae, not Min-joo. He confesses his love to her. Unable to turn him down, Eun-chae's heart aches for Mu-hyuk.

Moo Hyuk finds out that his condition is hopeless and he's going to die, while Eun Chae confesses to her father that it's Moo Hyuk she wants to be with, not Yoon.

Mu-hyuk jokes to Eun-chae that he will donate his heart to Yoon, so she should stay with him while he's still living. Thinking that he is joking, Eun-chae is disappointed and yells at him to hurry up and die so he could donate his heart to Yoon.

Yoon takes Eun Chae on a date to propose to her. Oh Deul Hee pays a visit to Seo Kyung in hopes to get Moo Hyuk to save Yoon.

When Eun-chae learns that Mu-hyuk is dying, she is unable to say a word and only cries. Meanwhile, Mu-hyuk tells Oh Dul-hee that he wants to donate his heart to Yoon.

After learning that Moo Hyuk is his older brother, Yoon refuses treatment. Meanwhile, Eun Chae begins having hallucinations of Moo Hyuk.

Mu-hyuk suffers a severe headache in Jeju Island, and Min-joo tells Eun-chae where he is. Eun-chae runs to Mu-hyuk and promises to be with him forever.

Eun Chae confesses her love for Moo Hyuk to him. Yoon pays Moo Hyuk a visit, and tells him the truth about their mother.
