    Not Bad

I attended the premiere of Tugger and I liked it. I felt the story was average but nice. The animation was beautiful and the songs were fun. I thought Jim Belushi did well as the voice of Tugger but I did not think Mr. Belushi was the greatest singer (not that he claims to be). Overall I thought it was pretty good.

As a suggestion I believe there could be more character development. Tugger and the rest of the characters seem to be fairly one-dimensional and if the stories are to continue as suggested I feel there should be more depth.

Not a bad first project for a small studio.

Niche, but not bad for the audience.

Look this is like a worse, but not bad version of Cars with it's own weaknesses and strengths. Maybe a way to give the kids the cars they want in a different way so you can spread your adult patience a bit further. Not great, but definitely an ok way to fill a specific niche that is mostly for a specific audience (young boys) which is ok just like some barbie movies are good in their own niche (young girls). So, I recommend to some young boys and maybe a family with them.

    Full of negativity!!!

There wasn't a single positive minded person working on this movie! The entire movie is utterly depressing with everyone telling this poor Jeep that he can't fly in different derogatory ways. My son watches it three times a day and it gets more painful every time, I think I'm gonna hide it. The negativity isn't worth the 3 minute happy ending! Parents who try to instill positive thinking in their children should avoid this movie. The makers were attempting to show the end as victorious, but it goes way over a young child's head and leads to toddlers running around saying "Lock it up Shorty". Fun Fun! You get used to the not so hot animation after the first few minutes.

    Tugger is great family fun

I saw Tugger at the premiere in Florida during the 4th of July weekend. This movie was high-quality computer animation along the lines of Toy Story or Finding Nemo. The story was extremely cute and patriotic, and with a "G" rating it was perfect fun for the whole family. My entire group (comprised of people of diverse ages) enjoyed the movie which was full of good life lessons, while never becoming too obvious or "preachy" like so many family/kids films. The characters, voiced by Jim Belushi and Carrot Top, were lovable and done well. Jim Belushi also sang the songs in the movie, which I found to be excellent. I would recommend this movie for any family looking for something that both the parents and the kids can enjoy together.

Only reason I watched it were the IMDb reviews

Ha! I saw how the bad the reviews were and I had to see this. Of course it was free on YouTube, who'd pay? I think honestly the animation was better than I expected, but the plot of Tugger constantly getting told that he sucks and can never fly is kind of true. Like, he's a jeep, so how exactly would he get off the ground?! Chances are he can't call in Elon Musk to make him the Tesla product "flying 4x4 WWII jeep". And the fact is at the end, all he does is ride in a plane! He never actually flies! This movie is like a deranged boat thinking it can lift off if it really feels like it. And the "happy ending" is just him getting new paint - he's still a jeep that can't fly at all but somehow he's happy! Moral of the story: the fancier you look, the happier you'll be. Wow, great influence I must say. It's funny because of how bad it is, that's why you'll laugh.

There are three versions of this movie. The first version contains completely different voices for the characters (whom according to composer Greg Sims were the voices the movie was first animated to), different opening and closing credits (the latter containing footage from the film and footage of Lea Salonga singing the movie's credits song "No Sky Too Big"), as well as some differences in dialogue. The second version is nearly the same but with the voices replaced with the final voices (i.e. Jim Belushi, Carrot Top, Lance LeGault, etc), and certain changes in dialogue. The third 2007 version is almost completely identical to the second version, but the opening credits are changed almost entirely (instead crediting Animated Family Films at the start rather than Genesis Orlando), certain pieces of the narration rewritten and rerecorded, and almost completely changed end credits, with "No Sky Too Big" replaced by Jim Belushi performed "Dreamin' the Dream" and "Tweet Tweet Tweet" moved before the song rather than afterwards. The aforementioned footage during the credits is also deleted in this version. The first version is only known to be owned by those involved in the movie's production, while the second version is available for streaming on TubiTV, and the third version was released on DVD by Anchor Bay in 2009.
