Avis à la une
I really loved this movie, i remember when it first came out out the cinema a couple of years ago, so i decided to go and watch it.
Sameer ( who is played by Salman Khan) is a Doctor and only day he meets Sonia (Katrina Kaif), but he tells her that he is married and she wants to meet his wife, then kids and then his mother. Now Sallu played his role excellent but Katrina was really, really bad in this movie? why did the director David Dhawan cast her? she clearly was not right for the part, Arshad Warshi and Isha Koppiker were also really good in this film and not to mention Sushmita, she was just brilliant, totally right for the part and played it extremely well, the music is just great too also. My favourite character would have to be the mother, now i don't want to give too much away but she was very good in the film, so funny, every time she came on screen i would burst out laughing like a 5 year old cause she was that funny, the story was crap and the ending was a bit dull and boring i think but it is a very funny film, so it's kinda worth the watch.

MOvie is not bad, but not good either. Confusion and Chaos creates comedy, but I think bollywood has overdone the formula. It was funny in Golmaal and even other David Dhawan flicks but this one just didn't make me laugh. Maybe all the controversy surrounding it. I thought movie was ordinary, not a laugh riot like his previous comedies. Movie had certain predictability to it too. Sush ending up with salman khan. The performances were OK. Salman's best comic film was Andaz apna apna. In other films he went over the board. This one he was OK, though he did manage to keep a confuse look on his face throughout. Just like he was constipated or was it expression of confusion or distress? Hhaha. Sohail Khan, whats up with that voice? He goes over board on most of the scenes, well not his fault, probably Salman taught him to do it like that. If you see Hello Brother, you know what i mean. Katrina Kaif was not that great. She seem like a robot with no expressions. I don't think she knows Hindi, she didn't even open her mouth in most of the dialogues. She was dubbed for sure. Finally, Sushmita Sen was good. She is hot, graceful, magnetic, and when she talks she carries great confidence. She is a good actress in my mind, she has a wonderful body, great voice, great charismatic approach to each character. She is good to me all the movies she does. Arsad Warsiwas good too, funny, but he had great comic timing since Tere Mere Sapney. He is a great actor. fine performances in all the films he does, at least ones that i have seen. I hope Bollywood don't type cast him to being a comedian. I think he can be a great all around actor. Beena Kak as the mother was OK. Rajpal Yadav is a funny man, he too is a great actor. the movie was disappointing for me, although its bearable watching once. I would not say its gonna be a classic as some David's films were. The Salman controversy didn't help it either.
I am not a fan of Salman Khan in fact i hate him plus Suhail Khan is also there so here it is "Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya " a movie from which i had no expectations and knew right from the beginning it is going to be a Masala entertaining flick with absolutely no space for rational. It turned out to be exactly the same.
THe plot like any other DD's movie is well set for lots of scope of comic errors confusions and stark dialogs. Salman Khan plays a Casanova doctor who to avoid the risk of commitment keeps telling his girlfriends that he is married. The problem starts when he falls in love with a model (Katrina Kaif). Everything goes fine but then Kat asks Salman that she wants to meet his wife so Salman somehow convince His secretary (Sush) to play the part of his wife. To add more troubles in the life of Salman Pyaremohan walks in as a friendly neighbor of Kat. The film reminds of golden days of DD's film making when he gave hits like the No.1 series , Aankhein and all. He lost his touch in between by making movies like Ek Aur Ek Gyarah , Yeh Hai Jalwa and few more but the last movie Mujhse Shaadi Karogi and MPKK shows the real potential of this entertaining director. Performance wise Sush is absolutely amazing she delivers the role point perfect her smile kills you and her Nakhras are awesome. Kat had a role of a model romantic lover and we all know she could do that pretty easily. Amazingly Salman Khan gave a solid comic performance no more irritating laughs and those stupid giggles of Hello Brother. Arshad Warsi is getting better and better in playing the Hero's friend's character. SUHAIL KHAN is a HUGE set back for the movie but David Dhawan had enough brains to keep his role very short and concise but still he damages the movie to some extent.
MPKK is good because of extremely good dialogs and yes they are by JAffery and Sanjay CHel . My personal favorite is the spoof of old mother and how Sush tries to irritate her by the common methods of age old Indian movie. Music is catchy and hip hop so it goes with the taste of the movie IN the end sit back give your Grey cells a break and enjoy the movie as it comes I am sure when you will be driving back home you won't regret for your time and money on this movie 6/10

I was totally not expecting anything out of this David Dhawan flick, and the film lived up to its expectations... by totally wasting my money and 3 hours. I usually give a lot of props to David Dhawan, since he is probably the only Indian director who ventures with comedy more often than anyone else. Its usually a nice break from all the dramatic movies. But I have to say this was a total disaster.
The film is filled with songs... at least 6-7 of them, almost never allowing the movie to ever maintain a flow. The storyline of the movie is pretty decent but a lot more could have been done with it to make the movie a whole lot better. Most of the movie was a drag, specially the second half.
Sushmita Sen has done a great job and looks good as always, Salman Khan is getting pretty good at comedy, and Arshad Varsi is hilarious as usual. But barring maybe 25-30 minutes of funny original scenes, the movie is mostly a big waste of time. I would recommend to definitely wait till the DVD is released for watching the film. It might be just a little more enjoyable.
It is probably not the WORST David Dhawan flick, but a BAD one.

Turned out to be exactly as I expected: A no-brainer, total nonsense masala movie. Exactly what we expect from David Dhawan(DD). But I don't mean any of it in a bad way, coz the movie never tries to be anything more, and in its silliness and absurdity, works well for the comedy genre, while sticking very much within the confines of clichéd family entertainment.
The excuse for a story revolves around a bachelor Casanova Doctor (Salman Khan) in love with a model (Katrina Kaif). But to leave the relationship just to an affair, he tells her he is already married. When she insists on meeting the Wife, he ropes in his ever-doting Nurse (Sushmita Sen) as his fake wife. We also have Arshad Warsi play a sidekick/friend to the doctor, and Sohail Khan as Katrina's intervening neighbor.
As usual, DD defies all logic and intelligence for a movie that is out of his assembly line. It is not one of his best, but definitely better than the mediocre ones he has made us suffer. The comedy is not loud (except for the Rajpal Yadav scenes) and works mostly, especially with Salman and Arshad translating it with their impeccable timing. Sushmita Sen is her usual warm self. Katrina Kaif is a Bombshell, looking every bit as gorgeous as made out to be. And even though she hardly acts, she never comes across as plastic. Sohail Khan is forgettable at best and annoying at worst.
If you are getting bored and have three hours to spare, you'll have a good time watching this instead.
