Australian writers are truly the best in the world. They seem to truly know the human psyche. It's no wonder their soap operas have lasted longer than any in the world. Of course this is not a soap opera but the writing still stands. I'm sure these actors consider this a true proving ground for a career around the world in acting, and I can almost assume, that some of the actors that felt they were graduating into American television and movies, may have found out they made a mistake. I know for a fact some actors who came to America, turned around and went back to Australia. I don't know the reason for certain but I can pretty much guess I might be right and I just described it. Yes this is another teen show. Which is probably something I would not say if I were from Australia. The writing really seems to matter here. That's the best I can say. They manage something big. What seem to be looking like apartheid, in season 1, went like whiplash, turning into the University of diversity in season 3. Now they still seem to be a part of that training involving one black actor and the rest of the cast being white. That's not a good thing. But even with that, they managed to feature the black characters in a way that America seems to have a problem. In fact, never subscribe to one black and the rest white because that's not the way the world really looks, I credit them for how they handled the writing in this series. So five stars for the writing, and acting, and five no stars, for still adhering to the big ratio. But in this series, they did so good, that it's fitting. But this outlier shall not be the rule. If it were for the writing alone, this would get 10 Stars.
As a surfer, I loved Blue Water High. The first two seasons were my favorite, because the first few episodes of season three, I did not like how it was written and the Blue Water staff actors. But overall, at the end, those actors did a fantastic job. I am glad I watched every episode. If you have been to private camps, even college, graduate school or retreats, it is something your moment experiencing that environment is a characteristic of your life, from, fun, hard work, crushes, and learning of yourself. Blue Water High did a great job mirroring this. I wish there were more episodes, or a feature film. Hint, hint!
Season one and two are excellent. Season three though they completely changed everything and it just wasn't the same.
Anyway this is a fun show about a surfing academy. Every year they take six teenagers three girls and three boys for a year. The show follows academy life and each of the people there. You don't have to like surfing to love this show (I know nothing about surfing), but if you know any about it you will love it even more. The casting is perfect and I really love the characters. There's a lot of surfing, but the focus is on the six students there. It is a really good show, I highly recommend it.

I loved most of the episodes of Blue Water High and I've loved all episodes of season 1. It's a great show to watch for teenagers and even adults. It's a fun, interesting and quick watch if you just want to chill. All the episodes aren't too intense and it's just great to follow these kids along during their school year.
But I do want to say that season 2 felt like a copy of season 1, and season 3 was definitely a copy. I didn't mind it as they did add some twists, but in the end I enjoyed season 1 the most and I would re-watch Blue Water High again, that's for sure.
It felt like the further you got into the series the less surfing you saw. And also, it's very noticeable that they hired different actors to do the surfing, but that's okay, you can't forget it was the early 2000's. I also don't get why they called the show 'Blue Water High'; I get that it sounds good, but Blue Water High was the highschool these kids attended besides SolarBlue and you don't see that much about the school. It's about the opportunity SolarBlue gives them and the house they live in during this year, so it would have been more logical to call the show SolarBlue.
