This series actually has a message of peace, tolerance and prosperity. This alone deserves credit, and differentiates it from many other series on TV.

The plot is an analogy to the current political climate in Turkey. On the one hand we have the evil mob outfit, named "cemiyet" headed by the merciless Mehmet Aziz Tarman, who has corrupt politicians, hit men, terrorists, cops, and journalists etc on his payroll, wreaking havoc throughout the country and playing one fraction out against the other.

On the good side we have teacher Tahir Mutlu and his platform for tolerance, who tries to bridge the fractions, and promote peace. TM is MAT's favorite victim. The special police task force headed by intelligence officer Yakup Kenanli tries to dismantle the cemiyet by lawful means.

In this last season the new director has increased the pace of the series, which has only improved it.

Kurtlar vadisi has come and gone, but it also opened the way for great Turkish TV productions such as this one.

This TV series aired on Samanyolu TV channel for 36 weeks. When it first started people thought this was a "cheap" imitation of the famous Kurtlar Vadisi series which brakes rating records in Turkey. After a while it started building its own unique fan group. From an action point of view it was satisfactory (for some scenes way above the average) but the real interest was due to its strong content. The script writer is a well known research journalist in Turkey. Its always hard to make a documentary when it comes to near past or current issues in any country. Turkey has gone through too many social and economical changes within the last 10 years. It was a psychological warfare and disinformation game. This TV series gives the average person the "behind the scenes" story of what was going on during that time. It doesn't give full names or event details but they just show enough to poke our brains. Overall I recommend it for anyone who is curious about the inside story of the events happened in the 90's in Turkey.
