Avis à la une
A visceral experience flavored subtly with a melange' of melancholy, wry scathing wit, and spicy allegorical satire.
The film opens not so much like a film, but like a flower just after the first frost is melting. The characters, insensitive to one another's shortcomings, show little room for growth, but such is the nature of a film of this variety ( i.e., a "short").
The writers have managed to deftly maneuver around the issue of death as taboo, and have instead embraced a policy of "Do unto others, and in so doing, kill them."
I would not recommend this film for the faint of heart; it tackles some heady issues: unemployment, suicide (no spoiler there), and the willingness to sacrifice anything for a brother.
I would recommend it, however, for everyone else.
