Avis à la une
This was just a horrible, embarrassing show. It was a treat to see all of the Bunch together, plus Sherwood Schwartz, but somehow TVLand turned it into an empty fiasco. Why? Mainly because of talentless Jenny McCarthy as your host. She constantly tried to make herself the center of attention, she acted like a 14 year old, and was very clearly making at least several of the Bradys uncomfortable with her behavior. It was painfully obvious that she wasn't prepared in the least for this show, and instead of moderating and letting the cast talk and interact with each other she cut off each person with annoying squeals and idiotic comments.
Whoever set this garbage up should never work in a TV studio again. Whoever decided Jenny McCarthy should come anywhere near this project should be dumped in a river. Didn't they have rehearsals? I honestly wonder if they did, because you got the impression this was McCarthy's first time through reading those cards.

When I saw the previews for this anniversary special, I was very excited as I've been a big Brady Bunch fan for years! However, I knew it wasn't going to be quite the show I expected when Jenny McCarthy showed up as the host..The show seemed quite scripted and I was expecting something more real..where the cast members had more of an opportunity to interact among themselves and bring up memories on their own from their association with the show..I read an article in USA Today about the show before actually seeing it and that Susan Olsen was upset because there was a script involved and she felt it was going to be more of an "actor's studio" type banter with maybe questions from the audience. Which, in my opinion would have probably worked much better..
Not to say the show was all that bad..but all of the typical questions you might expect of the cast members were asked..Everyone one looked good! Christopher Knight especially...he has lost quite a bit of weight and looks buff compared to old photos that I had seen him in..I guess the Discovery channel program he was on with Susan Olsen paid off! It was really cool seeing everyone together again..there was a slight sense of sadness in the fact that Robert Reed was not there to join them but you can sense that all these guys felt a strong attachment to this show and were proud that they were part of it! They are cultural icons no doubt and my nine year old daughter says that this show is her favorite..so all the new generation of kids are rediscovering the Bradys! I'm so glad the producers of the show were able to assemble the cast and even though I might have preferred a more "serious format" all in all it was a neat experience..But somehow I felt I was watching an episode of America's funniest home videos or something..just the way the show was structured.
I think my favorite part of the show was near the end when Jenny asked the cast members what they were currently doing..Many answers appeared to come from the heart..maybe this question wasn't one of the ones in the script..that seemed to be the most genuine moment in the special! And of course..seeing Ann B. Davis stroll in near the end was great! She still has that comical timing and all the other cast members welcomed her warmly! I wish the special could have stretched out to 2 hours and given the audience a chance to ask questions! You know what would be neat? If all the castmembers were to go on a show like Larry King Live and entertained questions from the general public! Food for thought!
Well..to Greg, Marsha, Peter, Jan, Bobby & Cindy...thanks for the wonderful memories and I was happy to see that everyone still feels a bond to a show that gave immense pleasure to millions and every time the show comes on, wonderful memories keep flooding back from that era in my life! Great job TV Land! But next get James Lipton (Inside the Actor's studio) to do the interviews!

I saw the Brady special (35th Anniversay) I too, agree, Jenny McCarthy had no business being in there. Not only did she act like a silly high school teenie bopper, she didn't know much about the show itself. Being a fan for the entire run of the show(I am now 40.) I grew up watching the Brady Bunch and enjoyed seeing everyone get together. I thought they could have used a little more "homemovies" and "behind the scenes" talk....but other than that, I thought it was okay. The Brady Bunch needs to be left alone as far as any reality show goes (ie: the real Brady Bunch idea)I liked the touching comments made by the cast about Robert Reed.
I don't know what show you guys saw, but "Still Brady" was one of the finest TV productions I have ever had the honor of viewing. The stellar interviewing, the obvious love between the cast, Sherwood Schwartz for f's sake! It had it all. You people need to have your eyes checked.
And to all you Jenny bashers out there? Are you lame? You wish you could score with a hot chick like that. Give me a break you nerds! And another thing, I hope they release the DVD soon, because I know it's going to be loaded with kick ass extras and more shots of Jenny, the greatest host ever.
I'll see you guys at the Emmys! Straight up! I am 38 years old.

I've seen it 3 times now on tvland and it sucks more each time I watch it. It was great seeing the Bradys get together once again, but Jenny just totally ruined that show. She seemed to try to make the show Growing up McCarthy or something. She took most of the air time and acted with emotion to some of the questions she asked, but when she did that while reading from the card, it took all the emotion out of her and made her look like a pathetic clone just trying to revive a career she never had. I would have liked to have seen Ann Davis more, and the rest of the crew talking more and less Jenny. I think it should also have been more than an hour long and I would liked to have seen them talk about Robert Reed more and maybe do a clip collage on him at the end before they sang the Brady song. I gave it 3 stars mainly because Jenny just made the show go WAY down, and then the question session was just everyday ordinary stupid questions they seem to ask every time for a reunion show. I wish they'd do another reunion show but get rid of Jenny, and replace her with a monkey because he could do it better, and ask some more personal questions.
