Yo soy el gallo

This movie is hard as hell to find I think it is only on VHS, but it is worth it. a hidden treasure for movie fanatics, a strange and amazing supernatural story about an adventurer of sorts who falls in love with a woman and must convince her family he's good enough for her. He drinks, he fights, and he sings. an amazing cover to the VHS that makes him look like Charleston Heston in seed of evil but in the actual movie he is short fat and not very good looking, yet that doesn't stop him from kicking butt. The movie didn't even have subtitles and I don't understand Spanish but it was still an amazing intriguing watch. something to do with music singing ghosts double crosses infatuation and donkeys, whatever, loved every minute of it. If you find a copy watch it and re watch it, share it with friends it is amazing.

I was 21 when I went to see this movie there are a lot of scenes from Puerto Rico in this movie from the "Campos"when being "Jibaro"was said with pride there were many people taking pictures of the movie screen as the movie was being shown in an attempt to capture many of the great scenes of the countryside in this movie

the soundtrack from this movie is a must have when the soundtrack was issued under the same name as the movie it became one of the most popular Spanish soundtracks ever. The story line is typical fairy tale poor boy meets girl but the girls family doesn't think he is good enough and he has to overcome their prejudices of him (rich vs poor)but all in all a very enjoyable movie I have been pulling my hair out trying to obtain this movie on VHS or DVD as it will enhance any movie collection if you can buy this movie do so you will not be disappointed
