    Iconic Scene

Well, Tito has loads of scenes that we can consider emotional and dramatic, but one specific scene that really stood out was when Tito's fiancé, Hanan Turk, discovered the true person he is. A criminal who has committed dozens of murders and theft operations. Even though he transforms into a new person so he can fit in with his new respectful family that he wishes to be a part of, and while the two characters loved one another dearly, it wasn't enough. As Hanan clearly puts it, "I said we should help people have better lives before they turn into criminals, but that doesn't mean that I should marry one of them.." OUCH!

The best Action Egyptian movie ever made...

Why 'Tito' is the best Egyptian action movie of all time? 1- The direction is nearly perfect, Tarek el Arian has definitely created his masterpiece by this astonishing way of direction. It gets us so deep into the movie that you can easily feel what Tito's thinking about or the way he looks to life. The action scenes are a feast for the eye and a real revolution in how action scenes can be made in an Egyptian movie.

2- The cinematographer did really a very very good job. He could by the use of camera's contrast to create a real depressing atmosphere to the picture that gets you really into the mood that Tito has at the moment, which added some high value to the reality and to how convincing the movie is.

3- 'Tito' has the BEST original score ever made in a middle eastern movie, Hisham Nazih proves by this art work that he is one of the best Arab music composers. The soundtrack is an unforgettable one that stuck to any one who watched the movie's head and this is one of the main reasons that will help 'Tito' to be a real Egyptian classic.

4-The acting is hilarious, Ahmed el Saqqa is the only actor I could think of as Tito, he played his role so simply and spontaneously that makes you even like Tito more and more due to his innocence and loyalty which were easily expressed by Ahmed El Saqqa. Khaled Saleh, with one of his first movies, proved that he's an uprising star and that he deserves to play roles as powerful and important as his role in 'Harb Atallia' or 'Omarat Yakoubian'. The rest of the crew were not bad and they could serve the picture well.

I guess all that I've said is enough for any one to watch it... It's just UN-miss-able!!!

a starting point for good action movies

i think this movie is a good starting point (after mafia) to quality Egyptian action movies.and it proves the point that the key factor in success with any action movie is mainly the story and not the action scenes.however it can a problem with ahmed el saka in the future because he will put himself in the action star sort of frame.but i do not see this as a problem.in the American cenima you see lots of actors classified as action stars and nothing wrong with that.the important thing from now on to ahmed el saka is to choose his scripts carefully and pay more attention to minor details. hanan turk's performance was good , and i like to admire to boy who played ahmed el saka when he was a kid.i guess this boy has a potential and his acting was pretty much natural.khaled saleh is again showing us what he is capable of doing.he can do any role and you will still enjoy his performance.

"Sorry boys, all the stitches in the world can't sew me together again..."

Tito is the second installment in the new-wave Egyptian action movies. After Mafia by Sherif Arafa, which was a breakthrough in Egyptian cinema making, Tarek El-Aryan brings us Tito, the next logical step. Very simply, this movie is about an ex-con who tries to escape his sinful life by starting a new one, but his past comes back to haunt him. The reason, in my opinion, why Tito is better than Mafia is because the script and story line in Tito is more complex, and some of the characters had real depth in them and where fully developed throughout the movie.

If you take the leading role (Tito) you can see and therefor understand the circumstances that made him what he is, and consequently sympathies with him at the end. As for the corrupt officer (Raafat), he is the kind of character that we know exists in our daily lives, and therefore did not need much development; nevertheless he was given enough screen time in order for us to understand his motives and beliefs. The rest of the cast were merely supportive roles, aiming at serving the development of Tito's Character. The pace of the movie was a little bit too slow, but the action sequences were great.

Although the action in the movie was a build-up for the drama, there are far too many action sequences to rate this movie as drama, this is definitely an action flick!! Ahmed El-Saqqa's Acting was was considerably good, he is definitely trying to improve and develop himself which is something to be appreciated, but the fact that he performs all his difficult stunts should be very respected. The biggest surprise in the movie, had to be Khaled Saleh. His charismatic portrayal of the corrupt officer Raafat was truly fascinating, showing so many different sides of the officer throughout the movie. He would be be funny and loving at times, desperate at others, but devilishly wicked at all times. The sets in the movie were brilliant. All the houses were decorated in a beautiful way, but the restaurant was a piece of art, what a shame it was to destroy it! Tarek El-Aryan's obsession with American Movies shows once again. The link is clear between this movie and movies like Carlito's Way and Empire, but Tarek definitely does a good job of adapting the story to suit the Egyptian culture and life style, as he did before in his masterpiece "El-Imbrator".

    simply masterpiece !

This movie represents the start of a new generation of action movies in Egyptian Cinematography. well acted brilliant directing, and above all it's discussing a serious situation in Egypt, The movie also considered a big step in Ahmed El Saqqa's career.

Tito is full of action scenes lots of gun fire, breath taking scenes and drama that for sure will move your feelings. Hanan turk was shining as always with her beautiful smile that reminded me of how I miss her in new movies. reality rules in the movie that has very dark scenes in it but it's telling us a message that is well delivered.

It's and always will be remembered as a masterpiece. after 12 years of it's release I still recommend it !!!

The role of Refaat El Sokari was originally considered for Actor Hesham Selim, but due to budget cuts, they had to recast the role and they chose the relatively unknown actor at the time Khaled Saleh, who raised to stardom after brilliantly playing the role.
