No. While there are thematic similarities, the two films are quite different in style, outcome and execution. Both movies touch on Body Integrity Identity Disorder (BIID), but Crash (1996) (1996) was based on a 1973 novel of the same name by James G. Ballard whereas Quid Pro Quo is a screenplay written by director Carlos Brooks. Quid Pro Quo is more of a noirish detective story that just happens to be set in this unique community.

Body Integrity Identity Disorder, or BIID, is a psychological condition in which the individual's body map does not "match up" with their actual body, and need some sort of disability. Individuals with this condition experience the persistent desire to have their body physically match the idealized image they have of themselves. This disability can be an amputation, paraplegia, quadriplegia, deafness, blindness, or indeed any other disability. Many believe that only those with a need for an amputation have "true" BIID, but this is not the case.
