Studio Sunrise has been around for over half a century, having been founded in September of 1972 (then known as Studio Soeisha) and coming out with its first animated production, Hazedon, the same year. Sunrise is most known for making series filled with giant, pilotable robots; however, the company is not limited to the mecha genre. There are some anime husbandos and waifus who have earned their popularity several times over. Sometimes they overshadow other worthy anime love interests, though. Often they come from indie or older titles, but they're romantic and well-written.

Characters like Yuichiro from Sailor Moon come from a huge franchise but may not be the first to come to mind when it comes to quality love interests. Nevertheless, he's a sweet character and worthy partner. He's just understandably overshadowed by someone like Tuxedo Mask.
