Emmanuelle à Rio

This is with out a doubt one of the funniest soft porn movies I've ever seen. I could not believe my eyes when I saw this on cinemax. It's as if every who took part in the filming of this was on some bizarre medication. There could not have been a script, but someone was credited with writing this. I couldn't have imagined that more than three people being apart of this production, but there is a crew of more than fifty people. Not one of these people looked around and said, hey...uh...I don't think this is going too good. If I was teaching a sixth grade class and the assignment was to make an hour and a half long movie, I'd give them a B. If you want to teach a class on how to look un natural, watch and study this. Just watch this movie

Back in the 1970's the "Emmanuelle" movies were the classiest soft core porn movies around. They starred Sylvia Kristel and were pretty sexy, especially parts 2 and 3. During that time the really low budget Emmanuelle movies were the ones that spelled "Emanuelle"...with one M. Some of them starring Laura Gemser were kind of sexy, others not so. So it comes as a surprise to see this awful, shot on video atrocity, It's completely shoddy, the women are just OK. The Brazilian actress playing Emmanuelle is pretty plain, for Latin standards. Sylvia Kristel was special and seductive and none of the women are even remotely special. This is a boring, awful movie that should be avoided at all costs.

This movie was so bad I couldn't take my eyes off it. Sadly, there weren't even any good sex scenes to make up for the awful acting, pathetic film production and horrible dubbing. The only redeeming thing to watch was Rio.

I'm supposed to write 10 lines on this...but where do I begin. The actress who plays Emmanuelle is easily one of the worst actresses I've ever seen. I don't think there was a script...I think that the actors were supposed to improvise but the result were long scenes that go nowhere. Lots of scenes of naked women dancing around, and even some girl-on-girl action with Emmanuelle's horrible voice-over droning on and on about how the participants are "taking their love to a new level of fulfillment."

Let me get this out in the open right now, Sylvia Kristal IS Emmanuelle. Case Closed. This Ludmilla Ferraz girl doesn't even come close. The funny thing is if this was a good soft-core movie, I'd have overlooked that, ok well maybe not overlooked, but I would have dealt with it. But it's NOT a good soft-core, it's a below sub-par crap fest. The chemistry between any of the actors is atrocious, the 5 sex scenes are unappealing and it's endlessly padded with scenes from parades which would've been better of in a travelog of Rio. If you can't make even a semi-competent Emmanuelle movie don't even bother shooting one at all. Skip this movie and skip the director's equally unwatchable other films.

The only thing interesting about this movie is the skin flicks. The sex scenes aren't that exciting. It's very obvious that they are faking it. Especially a couch scene, where the woman hops on the man's lap, for some cowgirl riding. He has no erection, just a flat lap. But the man does have a delicious rear end to like at. Big and ROUND. The parade scenes were beautiful. How very liberating to have a nude parade on Brazil. There is a lot of good butt shots of the men and woman. That Brazilian male model wasn't bad either. This movie is like opening up a magazine. Mostly nude modeling... If that's what you're into then this would be a good pick.
