Les frères Karaté à Bangkok

A kind of Asian Juliette and Romeo, minus the fact the lovers doesn't die, their hateful fathers die instead. The main interest is the brief presence of Chan Sing (Tough Guy) as the hired killer, Tien Feng (Fist of Fury) as one of the two fathers in feud, and Kao Yuen as the chinese in love with the thai girl (Kao Yuen earned reputation in Hong Kong as the Millionaire Leading Actor, since he starred in Golden Eagle, 1968: the 1st HK movie that outgrossed 1 million of dollars). The Thai brother is local star and boxing professional Sombat Metanee. Few Martial ars and too much elephants anyway. Boring. Also known as The Kung-Fu Brothers.

If you are a die-hard martial arts movie fan and want to watch every one ever made then this film might show up on your list. One day when you run out of wet paint to watch dry would be a good day for this movie. The plot has something to do with a family grudge. That's all you need to know because nothing else makes sense. Visually, you get to see Thailand in 1972. It's pretty. The movie runs about 90 minutes but you will be off the couch much sooner because your thumb will be on the fast-forward button for at least half of this nonsense. The fights, few and far between, are bad in every way possible. Too close, too many cuts, scraggly stunt men who can barely stand up, lack of power and lack of focus. Did I mention the boobies? No because not even a typical 1970s nipple just for the heck of it appears. Keep your thumb on fast forward and scratch this one off your list.
