    Killer game !

This game friggin' rocks ! It's a street wrestler with a surprisingly deep story for a game of this genre. You get to choose between 4 guys to participate in a couple of fights to save your friend's butt. Apparently you used to fight and had a girlfriend called Angel, you were beaten by a guy called D-Mob and he stays with your girlfriend. D-Mob is the main man in what comes to wrestling, he controls everything. When you finally solve Manny's (your friends) money problems, you decide you will enter the Def Jam contest so you can take a shot at defeating D-Mob, is this honor or what ? Anyway, while your playing in story mode you meet girls and they eventually fight for you and you unlock pictures of the real life models. The game controls are really good and the fighting is entertaining, there are over 1000 moves and around 40 fighters. The fights take place in seedy clubs and alleys since they're underground. And in the story mode you eventually have to fight with real life fighters from the eventual Def Jam license, and the game has an excellent soundtrack that rap fans will love. Even though the songs are edited by obvious reasons it's still an enjoyable experience, what bothers me about this game is that it is missing a create a wrestler. And the story is the same for the 4 main characters. The game has outrageous and impossible knockouts that are a characteristic of EA Big, I give this game a 9 out of 10.

A Hip Hop Game Where It All Started

After completing Def Jam Fight For NY I might as try to play the first previous Def Jam video game title called Def Jam Vendetta. Unlike the second game, which has no character creation for the story mode I get to choose 4 protagonists in the story mode which are Briggs, Proof, Spider, and Tank. Each has its own look, fighting style, and backstory. But somehow despite having to pick any of the four characters. Their own story just completely remains the same. Meaning that it only shows nothing but copy-paste cut scenes instead of showing the proper perspective of any of the protagonist's side of the story.

As for the gameplay, it is very difficult to control because it does not have the same controls as Def Jam Fight For NY. But thankfully there is a tutorial option in the monument I can understand the controls.

When playing the game with multiple fights I have been I was unsure if its either the controls of the game or just only me. Because the more I proceed with the story the harder the fights that I have been. Turns out that I have only normal difficulty this whole time. So technically it's just me. Because my hands were very painful fighting every opponent I defeated which looks more like a workout.

Either way, this is another one of those great Def Jam Games that I would recommend. It's best to play the first game before playing the second.

    Basic

A generic broken game. A game filled with nothing.

I remember purchasing it and walking back to Blockbuster to return it because it was hash.

    What can be learned? Nothing.

    Verdict: Hash Jam Hashdetta

    Hip Hop+Wrestling= Def Jam Vendetta

You wouldn't think a video game feature Hip Hop Artists fighting in the wrestling ring would be appealing to anyone well this game clearly changes that.

This is EA Sports Big taking the sport of Wrestling and combining it up by adding Artists: DMX, Method Man,Redman, Ludicrous, N.O.R.E. Capone, Scarface,Joe Budden,Ghostface Killah, Keith Murray, WC and Funkmaster Flex

It goes to show that with just a little creative work and talent you can make a game to appeal to both hip hop and wrestling fans alike

What I like about the game is that you get a mix of WWF No Mercy and WCW/NWO Revenge where you can just pick it up and play which helps a lot taking two of the best games to ever been created and mixing them into the game play making it a winner to many fans plus it features a very good story mode to gets your attention.

The Graphics are very good as well with attention to detail to the characters the arenas are what I like most about the game because they are different and cool

The sound department is where the game is also impressive with the voice work being having the artists voice themselves along with other voice actors plus the soundtrack has feature songs from each artists to make the game more excellent

The controls do take some times to get the hang of which is one of the few drawbacks of this game since we are dealing with a different style of game

However Def Jam Vendetta is a good game just takes time to get a hold of but with a few tries you will be getting into the game

I give Def Jam Vendetta an 8 out of 10
