Carlito's Angels

Yo, This is probably one of the funniest movies about the Spanish hood I have ever seen. Yeah the budget is low and all that. But this movie is so crazy funny because its real. If you havent lived it, you just dont know. I mean Man, When Carlito's calls the girls on the payhone in the corner store, collect! That is Crazy... and when they dip out on the car without paying. Yo this movie is phenomenal, They did their thing with this film for real. we need more latinos doing things like these. This movie is Funny!!!

This movie was horrible. The concept presented a lot of potential. I was hoping it would be in the same flavor as "I like it like that." Now that was a good movie. Carlito's Angels was garbage. I can't imagine anyone other than a high school guy enjoying it. I mean, other than the eye candy, there was nothing good about it. Five minutes into the movie I had to know how long it would be. Five minutes later I figured I'd give it another 15 and see if I could last all 80 minutes. After a few more minutes I just couldn't continue to subject myself to all that nonsense. I don't know how it ended, nor do I care. If you really must watch this movie, throw back a few shots to dull your brain cells and maybe, just maybe, you'll find it somewhat enjoyable.

"Carlito's Angels" is a spoof of "Charlie's Angels" that is not afraid to spoof even itself at times, however that does not mean that the film is above criticism by the viewers as well - it is amateurish and juvenile (I think "fast-motion" stopped being funny around 1914). The assaulting rap music often drowns out the dialogue, and the film feels longer than it is, even though it runs barely over an hour! The girls themselves are hot & adorable, with wonderful lean bodies, and even though they never get naked, their outfits leave little to the imagination. By checking out their IMDb pages, I found out that one of them (Alessandra Ramos) is actually going through with a film career; I wish her luck, because although this film is bad, she (as well as the other girls) gave it whatever energy it has and I wouldn't mind at all seeing her again on the screen. You have to be a woman to know what a great feat it actually is to scale down a high rise fire escape in a mini skirt and heels. This movie is funny, and the best part about it, is that it is a girl power movie. If you can get passed the sex- ploitation cover, you will find this movie is actually a hilarious girl power flick, that's actually more fun the second time around.

I can't believe I liked this movie as much as I did. I really wanted to rip it apart, and in many ways I could, bad sound, shallow plot and one dimensional characters, but I just found myself laughing out loud, several times and really having a good time.

The sound on this movie is kinda distracting. but the girls were funny, they're really good actresses, It was cool to see the behind the scenes video, and see that they are not really anything like their characters. It looked like they had fun making this movie. and the girl who played marisol, is hot, well they are all hot, but, she looked mad hot with the afro puffs.
