The ending scene, showing Bruce hitchhiking while a sad piano tune is playing, resembles the closing credits of L'incroyable Hulk (1977).
The creators of the game worked diligently to retain the style and feel of the original Marvel comic, while also reflecting same of the Hulk (2003) movie's visual themes. The visual style of the game is all about combining the comic book world and the movie world. They have chosen to use what they call a cell shading approach to render the characters and the world so that you get the feel that the game is a living comic book with defined lines and highlights stand out on the character models.
Eric Bana who plays the lead character Bruce Banner in movie the game is based off of, Hulk (2003), and he was able to do all of the voice acting for the game during the shooting of the movie, so he remained totally in character. Bana is the only actor from the movie to actually reprise the same role for the game as Betty Ross is voiced by Katie Bennison instead of Jennifer Connelly.
The diner Bruce Banner enters on the opening sequence is called "Kirby's Spring Station", a reference to Jack Kirby, who co-created The Hulk among other characters.
This game combines two different genres, stealth for Bruce Banner and destruction for the Hulk. This is the first Hulk game that lets you play as both Hulk and Bruce Banner.
