Chasing Papi

I had high expectations for this film. I had seen the trailers, and was expecting a joyride of a movie. It was a ride, but not a joyful one. The pace of the movie was so fast that there was not really any chance to enjoy the characters or the story that could have been great. Three beautiful women all vying for the same beautiful guy. What could have been just never was. No character development whatsoever. No real laughs. No plot explanation. I never understood what was so great about this guy, or so bad about the women that they would fight so hard for him. CP can be a fun movie like a child's roller coaster. Kinda fast, kinda fun, but not really.

Sooo cute! The plot was adorable, the cast, well at least the ladies, were absolutely stunning. I mean... god, I'd see it again just to see Roselyn Sanchez, Jaci Velasquez, and Sophia Vergaro running around half naked. Mmmmmm... Que Rico. Go see it. The critics hated it. I thought it was adorable. I recommend it... and the girls are drop dead gorgeous.

The successful and handsome wolf executive Thomas Fuentes (Eduardo Verástegui) has three sexy Latin girlfriends: in Miami, the waitress Cici (Sofía Vergara); in Chicago, the intellectual lawyer Lorena (Roselyn Sanchez); and in New York, the "daddy's girl" Patricia (Jaci Velasquez). When the three women decide to visit him in Los Angeles, Thomas is in a big trouble.

"Chasing Papi" is a silly, forgettable and predictable comedy that entertains mostly because the central lead trio is composed by extremely beautiful and sexy women. This enjoyable movie is indicated for a Sunday afternoon for killing time. My vote is six.

Does this movie make sense? Uhhhhh. Does his movie provide an interesting story and relatable characters? Uhhhhhhh. Is it passable? I guess. This movie really equates to three incredibly attractive Latina women running around showing off cleavage and having fun, was it a work of art? No, definitely not. Did I enjoy it? Did you not hear when I mentioned the three incredibly attractive Latina women running around and showing off cleavage? It was slightly shackled by it's PG rating and it is not something for family viewing but if you're in the right mood it's an okay time. Just remember this film is pretty surface level eye-candy.

I rented this movie last week and I thought it was pretty good. The three female leads in the film were beautiful. The movie had a few laughs but some of the actors could've been funnier, like D.L. Hughley. If any of you have seen any of his stuff you know he could've been funnier in this film. I know exactly what Tomas was going through in the movie so his character kind of hit close to home. It was great to see Paul Rodriguez in this movie as he had me laughing my butt off the time he was on screen. Overall I thought it was pretty good but this movie was played a little too safe. The plot about the money in the car and the ending where they learned that they don't need a man and become independent are basic but enjoyable. I would recommend this to any couple looking for a good movie to watch. Guys will dig it and so will the girls. I would definitely watch it again, maybe buy it.
