Srividya is a child less widow ill treated by her in laws . She is left to die in a big house . Jayan is a small time thief working with his crony Jagathy . Seeing this big mansion empty they come to steal . Jayan sees Srividya dying . Taking pity on her , her nurses her back to health slowly . Hearing her sad story he takes her back to his humble home.
With no way out , she joins him silently . Both are aware of the snide remarks of neighbors and community folk but continue . Her in laws are more than happy to get rid of her . Soon they realize that she has been bequeathed a large amount of money . Jagathy has some light comic filled moments.
