Playboy heads to Las Vegas and I gotta be blunt - by the end of 'Girls of the Hard Rock' - felt like I had watched a running ad for that property. Released to coincide with a pictorial in their magazine and I'll assume shot on location if you can get over the blatant advertising, you might find more to appreciate in this video than me. Lots of attractive ladies, but in scenes that left a lot to be desired.
"The Joint" finds Playmates (Kristi Cline, Tishara Lee Cousino, Deanna Brooks) playing around on a band stage with instruments and of course get naked. Tish is particularly beautiful, but this was an anticlimactic opening (6 mins). "Lady Luck" is your gambling scene with two ladies (Stacie Morrisette, Jessica Turner) as they place a bet at blackjack and win. Then they're off to another location where they strip, rub money on their bodies and lightly make out (7.5 mins).
"The Bridal Suite" starts off by having the model (Chera Leigh Pollins) tell us how much she likes the Hard Rock (O Rly?) and wonders what her wedding night might be like held there. Cue the honeymoon fantasy and boy/girl fare, solo posing (7.5 mins). "Web-Cam Encounter" takes us outside to the pool where we get stripping in the sun featuring two models (Roxanne Galla, Amy Miller). You can't go wrong with tanned beauties by the pool posing and touching each other. Nice shots here and for my dollar the best segment by a wide margin (7.5 mins).
"Room Service" involves three ladies (Bethany Lynn Garrett, April Renee Harbstreit, Antoinette Abbott) where one plays an employee and they all get down to girl/girl (8 mins). "50s Serenade" is a meh lounge singer (Jolan Tebbs) fantasy segment (6 mins). "Private Cabana" jumps from outside to inside and then finally sees the three models (Sarah Carter, Ginger Behr, Dawn McFall) strip as guys watch on (6 mins). All these scenes missed for me big time.
'Girls of the Hard Rock' gives plenty of nudity, but the way in which the models featured are used left a lot to be desired. I didn't appreciate the hotel & casino tie-in vibe neither. Sex & gambling are two themes that fit well together and maybe I'll revisit this title down the line, but this was one of the weaker Playboy videos I've watched.
