Avis à la une
I first watched this Christmas special 11 years ago. I loved it. A reunion of the father knows best series cast. All grown up coming home for Christmas. It was funny, warm and the ending will bring tears to your eyes.
It is a must see for this age area of these series. If I can ever find it on video I will purchase It! You will enjoy this movie. If you were a Robert Young or a Father knows best TV Fan you should share this with your children. A TV Classic special.

A wonderful made for TV movie, from the "Father Knows Best" TV series, updated for the 70's. Anyone who is a fan of "Father Knows Best", Robert Young, Jane Wyatt, or the other characters and actors would really like this one. Since some of the stars have passed away, it is a reflection back on simpler times and eras. It contains scenes from the original "Father Knows Best" TV series (in black and white) in a flashback format. It has all the actors from the original cast and everyone remains true to their characters. If anyone knows of a copy, VHS or DVD, that can be purchased, I would like to know. My VHS copy was partially erased, accidentally.
this made for tv. movie was all that I hoped for and more. Anyone that is a Father knows Best or Robert Young or Jane Wyatt fan would really like this one. Everyone that was the original cast stayed true to the characters, and even though some years had passed since the original program had aired. I give it four stars!
My family & I believe that Father Knows Best Home for Christmas should be on DVD because it's a great movie. Also we would like the other movies and the whole series on DVD. It's a yearly tradition that we play that in our house every Christmas. However our taped version is getting old and we don't want to stop this tradition since there's not much tradition in the world anymore. We think it's one of the greatest series and movies ever made they don't make shows or movies like that anymore so please don't let it fade away.We would appreciate anyone's cooperation in this matter for we are the rare case of people who enjoy values, honesty, and integrity which is what this show and movies teach and I want to teach those things to my children one day. Thank You, Dreamgirlsdreams
First, I love the original series. I love most of the TV from that era.
I have nothing good to say about this reunion show except that the clips from the original series are a welcome relief from this otherwise dreadful production.
The story is barely discernible. Production values are worse than the most amateur theater production you've ever seen with harsh lighting and shadows dark and deep enough to make you think this is a film noir detective picture. Awkward camera angles distract from the mood. Performances, with the admirable exception of that of Elinor Donahue, have the feel of a first rehearsal. And there are glaring mistakes in the script.
This movie should have been produced by people who actually care about it. It wasn't.
