Avis à la une
No doubt American Latino moviemaking is still evolving, yet a movie like this is one example of the dynamic spectrum of content which can and will appeal to a general english speaking audience. The visual cinematic look of this low budget movie enhances the outstanding comedic performances of the actors and beautiful actresses. The movie empowers Latinos as the good guys, rather than exposing them in the stereotypical roles audiences are accustomed to. Although the special effects are quite amateurish, they evoke an obvious tribute to the model/diorama based visual effects of years past. I am curious to know what the Estrada Brothers will come up with next...
Space Banda may very well signal the arrival of Mexploitation. Ready or not, here it comes. Space Banda is a funny comedy along the lines of Mel Brooks' Space Balls. If you thought Space Balls was funny despite its lack of flavor, this Mexican-American comedy will have you rolling on the ground with laughter.
After viewing Space Banda there's no doubt about it- Little Diva is here to stay! Best of luck to you and may we see endless sequels, prequels of this groundbreaking series which is sure to be a crossover success with people of all ages familiar or not familiar with legendary banda music.
One of the funniest Latino Exploitation films ever. It's wild, whacky, dirty, and features beautiful women. The story line of future space coyotes turning into musical "banda" super heroes to protect and save the persecuted Latinos from the Immigration Naturalization Federation (INF) is uniquely humorous. It will definitely reach cult status in the coming years. Can't wait for the sequel!
Hilarious.
Not the film, but the review by RAROME when he calls the film, "One of the funniest Latino Exploitation films ever." He WOULD think that. He's the star of the film.
Rarome posts elsewhere: "yes I'm Richard Azurdia and everyone can know it. I have nothing to hide." http://imdb.com/title/tt0452703/board/thread/19924618?d= 29238104#29238104
Has anyone out there, NOT related to the filmmakers/not crew, cast, friends, or family of this film seen it and care to comment on it?
