Avis à la une
This movie is one that I loved when I was younger. I have found that the older I get, the more I look back on movies from the past and wonder how I ever enjoyed them. Recently rewatched this with my boyfriend who had never seen it, and it was still very enjoyable. It feels effortlessly funny, and not in a way like most "teen comedies" where it uses only bodily functions and sex to do so. Kutcher and Murphy seem to have a natural chemistry that was great for the film, and they're both in their element in this one. It's not going to be the best movie you've ever seen, and it's not meant to be. I wanted to give it a bit higher of a rating, I'd usually go with 7, just BECAUSE my boyfriend liked it because he almost never likes these movies. Definitely worth a watch.

Newlyweds Brittany Murphy and Ashton Kutcher embark on the honeymoon from hell. Ermmm. That's it.
This movie very much does what it says on the tin. It doesn't claim to be an intellectual journey. It's just a bit of screen candyfloss. But for all that, I'd rate it as one of the better examples of its type.
Why? Because there are enough laughs to keep it going - especially in the first half of the film. And the two leads are likable enough. It has to be said that both look terrific, and Kutcher in particular has developed a very nice style in physical comedy.
The problem with all these kind of movies, for me, is that they tend to drag a bit as they reach the 1hour mark, and then you're sort of waiting for it to end. This is certainly the case here. But if you like to see goodlooking people in reasonably funny romantic situations, you can do a lot worse than this one.

If you're willing enough to forgive some lame jokes & some over-the-top physical humor, then 'Just Married' will certainly work for you. All I can is, I laughed & enjoyed myself! Nothing memorable here, but a good laugh is never bad, is it?
'Just Married' Synopsis: A young newlywed couple honeymoon in Europe, where obstacles challenge their ability to sustain the marriage.
'Just Married' funnily follows a newlywed couple's series of unfortunate events & turns them into a silly, fun watch. Some jokes land well & some don't. And fortunately enough, 'Just Married' never goes out breath, even though its never entirely engaging. Sam Harper's Screenplay has some LOL moments, that deserve to be credited. Shawn Levy's Direction is satisfactory. Cinematography & Editing are decent.
Performance-Wise: The Late/Great Brittany Murphy & Ashton Kutcher willingly own up-to the film's silly humor & deliver entertaining acts. Its a joy to watch Murphy loosen up here, while Kutcher proves yet again that Comedy was always his forte.
On the whole, 'Just Married' is uncomplicated fun.

dude, where's my logic?
this is a simple movie about complicated relationship made simple. the story is set up to be difficult but the solution is straight and ended up just nice.
the basic concept is a bit like 'cocktail'. but this one is far more sway than the latter.
anyway, it still got it's interesting points and messages. and still very fun to watch. it's like witnessing your own honeymoon...
a nice weekend movie for a date.

If there's one thing I love, it's Ashton Kutcher, and he was only the icing on the cake. In this cute comedy Tom (Kutcher)and Sarah (Murphy) rush into a marriage, only to experience the honeymoon from hell. it's full of fun characters and fun jokes and is really just fun; I recommend it.

- AnecdotesAshton Kutcher and Brittany Murphy were a real-life couple when they made this film.
- GaffesThe castle/hotel is located in France (in fact, it is "Burg Taufers" close to Sand in Taufers, in South Tyrol, Italy). The Tyrolian Flag on the wall belongs to South Tyrol. Despite the fact that the cars have the correct French license tags, a local construction company's truck (Kiesunion) is seen on the highway. Also the electrical sockets in the bedroom are Italian, not French. The uniforms of the firemen coming out of the castle after the fire are clearly not French. (The helmets used by the firemen are former Wehrmacht helmets repainted in white and are commonly used by fire brigades in Germany, Austria, and South Tyrol but not in France.)
