Normally I am a huge fan of Kamal, and somehow this film also managed to grab my attention!

Alavandhan successfully showcases the extreme talent of Kamal Hasan, as pulling off two very different roles is no less than a challenge. The music is pretty good and what really engaged me was the gripping atmosphere throughout.

However, I would not give the film a full rating as the concluding elements really drag a bit!

Anyhow, it's a great experience! My rating would be 8.2 out of 10. Definitely worth a watch.

This is the movie for 2010s but made a decade ago by the genius. You will travel in to a different world (Nandhu's hell) and will definitely take a few days to come out of it.

Costliest movie made in Indian Cinema at that time and the movie justifies the budget. You are in for a visual treat, terrific work by the cinematographer Tirru.

A song or two could have been avoided to trim the movie length however the last 30mins will bring you to the seat edge. Tattoos, body arts are new in that era and look international.

Movie might not have liked in 2001 but i watched it today and i am damn sure this is best movie of kamal hassan i have ever seen ev..what a acting.if it released today, it will get huge response👌

This movie is like a mixture of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Silence of the Lambs, and Face Off. But its unique in it's own way and pretty unusual for a Hindi movie. The acting performances are good, and especially the drug trips are great to watch. This movie has cult potential.
