Avis à la une
I am reviewing this film from memory, so forgive me if the details are fairly poor, but so too was the film, and it did not make me want to remember it. To be honest it was possibly the worst film I have ever seen, however it is a B horror movie, and so I perhaps should not have expected any more. However even this is no excuse for what is essentially the worst film ever. The main characters make all the clichéd mistakes, such as wanting to catch the murderer them selves...etc. The whole film is a cliché, but is not tongue in cheek, therefore it does not even have the humour value. The film is also so bad its not even funny. Quite often I find I can watch an awful film, as I can laugh at it, but this was just painful, avoid at all costs!!! Really, Don't even watch it to see if it really is this bad, you will die of boredom!
It's a 'B' Movie Slasher Flick, about a serial killer on a film set, who is killing the cast and crew, and i for one, want to buy that killer a beer (i just wish he had killed them all before they started making the movie)
Badly Acted, Written, Directed and Produced, this film deserves no attention from anyone at all, ever!
There is no Tension, no frights, no fun and a very poor excuse for a twist at the end, oh, and its boring too (a rare quality for a slasher flick)
Do Yourself a favour and watch something else.

Reminds me of Final cut minus the supernatural element. Scream-ish. I loved it as a kid and i love it now. Super cheesey
There's nothing really wrong with this movie. The characters and acting is relatively good for a "B" horror movie. A few of the actors seemed miscast however. it is well filmed and doesn't look like a low-low budget movie.
The only thing is...for some reason it doesn't come together very well. It's just quite boring even for a Slasher movie. It also lasts about 10 minutes too long near the end. Another thing is that although it tries to make a twist out of the ending, i could see it coming a mile away.

Well, I'm too big a fan of slasher movies to be a fair judge of this one: is totally derivative, without any real new ideas, but it is also very well photographed, with a really good cast for a B-movie, with a lot of blonds really nice to look at - and this is always a big plus in my criteria for a judgment - and enough action and good lines to keep watching it till the end. It is a total rehash of Scream, with a touch of Cut and of the Italian giallo Deliria (aka Stagefright): all those movies were better - far better - than this one, but Scared is still a movie that you want to watch if you are a slasher movies fan. The only negative mark that you may note is that there are no nudities at all: come on guys!! This is a slasher!! We wants blood and T&A and in both these departments this movie sucks! Be aware of this and if you don't care you'll find that watching Scared is not a total waste of time.

- AnecdotesThe movie was acquired by Charles Band at the behest of Blockbuster Video, a long time supporter of Band during the Full Moon Pictures era, due to the late '90s resurgence of the slasher horror subgenre, thanks to Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer. With the help of an uncredited Tempe Entertainment, Band produced Bleed and acquired Keith Walley's Scared, renaming it Cut Throat.
