Avis à la une
The Wounded is hilariously bad. Which is obviously why Troma picked it up. As they do. The direction and editing, the non-existent acting, and the weak Hip-Hop soundtrack, are all just dumb. As is the entire film. But I have to give it some merit for being so terrible, that I get a good chuckle out of it, when I re-watch it.
So dumb.

This is by far the worst film I have ever seen. The film is obviously shot on a shoestring budget, but that is no excuse for the poor quality. The story jumps about so much and the editing is so poor it is almost impossible to follow.
I saw it on the Horror Channel which admittedly can show some "lesser quality" films, but I am at a loss as to why they would bother showing this. I can only imagine it was bought as part of a job lot, but someone should have taken the decision to file it away as one never to be inflicted on the public.
The story makes no sense, the characters have the intellect of amoeba and the dialogue is truly cringemaking. I am surprised the complete cast and crew was not made up of Alan Smithee.

I am in this movie as one of the cult members. Shot in 1998 on 16mm film all without permits and a skeleton crew what an adventure this omen of a show turned out to be. The cult leaders scenes were shot behind Griffith Park observatory in an abandoned shed we had real machetes. Dressed in all black with the crazed look in our eyes we proceeded to run around the woods like crazies. Honestly we were chasing one another i was chopping at trees and bushes and getting as many close upside mats I could. This was my first acting job in Los Angeles and to be rated one of the worst movies ever is quite an honor. I highly recommend it for a mind numbing melting experience of shoe strings and bad dreams. Gangs vs Cults.
Not for everybody. For its genre, not too shabby.
Starting off, cover alone, hot chicks, guns, anguish (more like constipated), but mostly hot chicks garnered my interest.
Some cool fight scenes. I really, really, really wanted to hate it. But what the hey, surprised - for a No/shoestring budget, how did they get access to a jail? Or a prison bus? Clearly the show runs on its memorable "characters" - I wasn't a big fan of Taka, the overly preachy counselor, but the LSD cult leaders and some of the gang members deserve some props for their standout scenes. Bella, the nekkid cult priestess - thanks for the mammaries for the Hot Tub girl! It didn't bore me compared to others of its genre. Seven stars because it entertained me.
I'm waiting for Wounded 2.0 Plus Zombies.

Caught this ultra low budget action movie going on PLEX the other day. PLEX and TUBI are streaming some pretty obscure movies and this being one of them.
It being a Troma release I wanted to give it a watch. While it certainly won't be everyone's cup of tea it definitely has a late 90s low budget nostalgia vibe about it. It's a Troma release so that already sets the tone in my opinion. I would describe the movie at best as just mindless action escapism. The producers and director were smart enough to include enough gory action and just enough eye candy to keep you watching.
Lastly I was shocked at some of the cast who obviously went on to bigger things.
