This game is *very* creepy, what with the creepy music and all. It all starts when you arrive in a small town called Cyclone. Your friends, who are in a band called 'Trip Cyclone', told you to meet them there, but they are no where to be found. In fact, there's no one in the town. Everyone is gone... its your job to solve puzzles, collect the 12 Bahos/Spirit sticks, defeat the evil DarkCloud, and bring the people of Cyclone back. Its a bit confusing at first, but soon everything falls into place. All in all it is a very good game. I give it 8 stars out of 10. *Are you ready to face 'DarkCloud'?*

This game combines great (pre-rendered) graphics (combined with real-life FMV) with an enthralling plot, great music and soundeffects and is overall one of the best and most captivating games I've ever played. The FMV uses some very impressive visual ideas, the band that was formed to do the music is great! As far as I know, September Luketz was 16 when she did those vocals, amazing! Does she have any other stuff out? And who is this Ethan Silrum? The German localisation was also very well done. This game is better than it's first part!
i played this game when i was ten or so.. it really freaked the 10'old girl out of me.. though i enjoyed it.. it was the beginning for me in playing adventure games. (I'd like to recommend also Agatha Christie - And Then There Were None; Post Mortem; Still Life) it has a difficult solving but i suggest you to solve it on your own (you gain satisfaction when you know no one helped you :D). i recommend it to all fans of adventure games. the songs work perfectly with the action but Dark Cloud could have been more scarier than a man with an ancient mask. :D i expected a follow-up for the game and i can't understand why they won't make one. Shivers II is a good game and i would say: excellent for '97 ;)
