Ah! those sweet memories from childhood.
This was one of my favorite cartoons. "Heathcliff and the Cats" (title for Mèxico) was a tender cartoon with mix of adventure. That Heathcliff always got himself in problems and also managed to involve his friends.
To be honest, I don't remember a lot about this show but truly, my little memories are very sweet and I can say that this was a great cartoon for children.
I enjoyed it at it's full because it was entertaining and also had bits of action.

This was one of many cartoon shows I've watched when I was a kid. It wasn't one of my favorites, but it was still good entertainment for me at the time.
The show features, as IMDb puts it, the misadventures of the feline troublemaker while the Catillac Cats gang have adventures of their own.
I don't remember too much from the show, but it did create nice childhood memories and I did remember it being a funny show with interesting characters that will make you laugh and some fun adventures that will make the show pretty entertaining.

I liked so much this cartoon in my childhood Heathcliff catlac cats was jolly good and heathcliff's theme songs really wonderful.
Who remembers theme song?
I used to watch this show when I was a little girl. When I think about it, I remember it pretty well. If you ask me, it was a good show. However, the opening sequence and theme song are two things I remember very well. In addition to that, everyone was ideally cast. Also, the writing was very strong. The performances were top-grade, too. I hope some network brings it back so I can see every episode. Before I wrap this up, I'd like to say that I'll always remember this show in my memory forever, even though I don't think I've seen every episode. Now, in conclusion, if some network ever brings it back, I hope that you catch it one day before it goes off the air for good.

This segment was the second half of the Heathcliff television series. It starred Riff Raff, a short big-talking orange cat who lived in a junkyard with his sidekicks, Hector a Himalayan cat who of schemed of himself being the boss, Worsdworth a white cat that spoke in rhyme, and Mungo, a big dumb purple cat. Riff Raff's girlfriend Cleo lived in a music shop (and she is arguable one of the nicest looking female cartoon characters ever). Many episodes revolved around Riff Raff trying to gain money to buy food, or try to buy something expensive for Cleo. Others involved the cats fighting off strangers or intruders that dared try to take over their junkyard. And why were these guys called The Catillac Cats? They were cats that had a Cadillac car. But it didn't just drive around. It could morph into a kinds of things: A hovercraft, a trailer, a submarine, you name it. The Cadillac really was what made the show unique, and is what held a child's interest. Sure Heathcliff & the Catillac Cats were for kids, but I am 17 and I miss this show, particularly the Catillac Cats (I found the Heathcliff segments very boring), and I wish they were back on TV. Yes, they are on DVD now, and that's wonderful. But only a handful of episodes are on DVD, and it'd be more satisfying to see every episode released. That would make one of the world's greatest Christmas presents.

This was just a poor man's Garfield. The animation is horrible, the voice acting is bad, the stories are boring and stupid, and the characters are unlikable. Ruby Spears' version of Heathcliff was much better than this dumbed down garbage. It's a shame this gets more attention than the wonderful Ruby Spears version. I think the Ruby Spears version is worthy of viewing and this DIC version should be skipped. Please avoid this horrible series and watch the original Ruby Spears cartoons instead. It is a shame that this has more episodes than the Ruby Spears version. This is quite a disgrace to the original. Avoid, avoid, AVOID!!!!!
This show is a treasure from the past, a cartoon I really cherish from my childhood. The Catillac Cats were funny and lovable. I remember growing up with it alongside other shows like Inspector Gadget and Heathcliff. They are all unforgettable cartoons that I will always hold dear. The show had such beauty. They certainly don't make cartoon shows like this anymore, which is really sad. The characters were fun and joyful and the animation was gorgeous. The cast was brilliant and did an amazing job, I enjoyed every episode of this show and I really miss it.
This show was unique and had style.

I used to watch Heathcliff & co. on the local networks back in the mid 80's. What I didn't know at the time (and most people still don't know this) Is that DIC's version of Heathcliff was actually an anime! more precisely, it was a France/Japan co-production based on an american cartoon Icon. the Tokyo Movie Shinsha animated it, and many anime legends worked on this, such as Tetsuo Katayama & Shigeru Akagawa(Space Cobra, Lupin III), Shingo Araki(Saint Seiya, Versailles no Bara) and Michi Himeno (Amon Saga, Sukeban Deka). on the French side of the Production were Jean Chalopin, Bruno Bianchi, and Bernard Diyrese. The English dub was recorded in Canada with the late(but great) voice actor Mel Blanc playing the title role. The storyline was pretty stereotypical, but then again, weren't most cartoons of this genre? I recommend this series to the young, the young-at-heart, and collectors of Retro-anime.

When you were a kid it was kind of like a cheap Garfield wasn't it? That's not to say it was bad, but the Cadillac Cats didn't hold much of a candle to US Acres and, in either case both the Heathcliff and Garfield segments were a little dull in comparison to the sub-shows.
In any case, it's not really a nostalgia 10 stars, it is funny, it was a pleasure to watch, and the opening theme did get stuck in your head. So, it did it's job.

This was a fun show. In the style of most of the 80's cartoons, Heathcliff is a fun 30 tv show. I remember watching it when I was 7 years old and when I think about it I smile because it was an innocent and sometimes tender cartoon. Yeah that's what some people same as my age used to watch, now what cartoons are popular? Cartoons that feature grizzly violence. Sad.

God I loved this show when I was a tyke. Like many of my other great memories I have when it comes to T.V., it used to air on Nickelodeon back in the day. It had some good plots, and funny characters (mainly Heathcliff, and the 2 catillac cats I think one was named Hector, and the other Mungo. The rhyming cat was annoying!) who ranged from smart, to stupid. It was also funny when Heathcliff beat up Spike all the time although it got old after a while. It's a shame it's not on anymore because it was so funny! 10/10.
Heathcliff, you are one cat in a million. The late great Mel Blanc as the title role voice had me in hysterics every day afterschool at 3pm when Heathcliff would make his rounds and stake his claim in the neighborhood. Every episode you could expect Heathcliff was going to do something crazy, from beating up the Siamese twins, to getting revenge on the CatFather!! My favorite episode would have to be "The Kit Kat Club" Classic, except for that annoying Iggy. What's with the bowtie son? My all-time favorite cartoon.
