For the club sequence the production placed an ad on the internet, asking real Swingers to participate for free. In this scene the extra's are not acting but performing real lovemaking.
First day of principal photography was 11 September 2001.
Started of as a "project among friends" and planned for a 2-day shoot, the film was picked up by Rebel Film and A-Film Distributions to upgrade it to a feature film.
Planned to be released in modest numbers, the biggest theater chain did not want to program the movie. The film therefore didn't do well at the Dutch box office. On DVD things worked out a bit better: it had a place at the top-50 of best-rented films. After being sold to Germany however, the film was received extremely well with an audience of nearly 3 million at its premiere on ZDF television. Subsequently, the film had several reruns on both ZDF and ARD television.
The director, being a member of the infamous 'Brenninkmeijer-clan' (the richest family of Holland), shot the movie in the luxurious house of his uncle.
