Ee Sabdam Innathe Sabdam

A poor version of Charles Bronson's "Death Wish". I guess the audience back in the 80s were easy to impress. Some movies only look good in the decade they were made, this is one of them. Shobana was totally wasted in her brief role as a victim of a heinous crime. Even the vigilante justice meted out by Mammotty is so exaggerated and over the top, seems nonsensical. Vijayaraghavan was just ok, but the rest of the supporting villains were clueless and looked like they were picked off the street without a screen test. I suggest watching some other re-runs instead of this disappointment. The quality of the movie was also apparent based on the shoe string budget it was made on. By any stretch of imagination this wasn't one of Mammotty's finer movies.
