Triangle maudit

Great scenery, good cast, a big step up from the usual cable "Bermuda Triangle" movies. Well worth watching, though I dont expect the DVD's of this to fly off the shelves. If you missed it dont worry, its a TNT movie so it will probably be on about every Tuesday!

At first I thought, that this could be at least a pretty good movie. The plot sounded intriguing and gave the idea of a nice fright. But as the movie went on I saw nothing but one cliche after another, and found myself laughing instead of hiding behind the sofa. Although it had some good scenes, they were not enough to save the entire movie. I've seen worse, but not much.

You gotta hand it to the producers of this movie. They knew their budget and their fan base. Luke Perry, Dan Cortese, and Olivia D'Abo haven't exactly graced the silver screen in recent years, but there's a generation of us out there that will always remember who they are. Those of us who do appreciate the 'Music Televised' 'Wonder Years' of '90210' then 'The Triangle' is good fun. What do you expect from a TV movie about the Bermuda Triangle that has strong resemblance to 'The Shining?' Leave your brain in the early 90's, make some popcorn, and enjoy.

This movie is so bad it almost becomes funny again.. I can't believe how many moderately positive comments this movie is receiving here. If you call yourself a movie fan, how can you keep a straight face when watching this, let alone be amused. Every cliché of 'scary, mysterious movies' is used here.

Pretty much everything has already been said in other comments, the Shining rip-off, the lousy acting, the predictability, the (pathetic excuses for) special effects.. I won't repeat everything again. This movie is laughably bad, in every possible way, please take this warning and don't waste your time!

Wow, Dan Cortese can act! Who knew? I usually change the channel when I see a made-for-TV movie, but this one really caught my eye.

Maybe it had to do with the fact that I've always found the whole Bermuda Triangle mystery very interesting. I also found Luke Perry's character (the guy who's always in it for the bounty) pretty good. This movie reminded me of the "Poseidon Adventure". Old ships and Sea ghosts always freak me out.
