    Fun Multiplayer

Rated M for Graphic Violence,Language,Crude & Sexual Humor

Conker's Bad Fur Day is a very fun N64 game. The funny thing about this game is, Conker was a kiddie character. He was even in the game Diddy Kong Racing. But Coker's Bad Fur Day is not for kids. There is plenty of blood, violence, sexual humor and swearing(though it is bleeped out). The multiplayer is the best part of this game. You can play as four characters in different stages and just kill the hell out of each other with various different weapons. Its very fun and I still play it.If you like violent video games, then you should play Conker's Bad Fur Day but parents, don't buy this for your kids and then complain about it.

A raunchy but marvelous game from the N64's final days

Originally, this was meant to be a cutesy kid's game, but the designers at Rare felt that would be too similar to Banjo Kazooie. So, it was redesigned into a shockingly raunchy adult game chock full of profanity, blood, alcohol, and sexual themes, albeit with a deceptively cartoonish and colorful environment.

After suffering a nasty hangover from a night of drinking, you'll guide Conker the Red Squirrel on a long, arduous journey home while avoiding the minions of the Fairy Panther King who seeks to use Conker as a makeshift table leg. But don't let the game's cutesy appearance and humor fool you; the ending was a devastating gut-punch that teaches Conker (and the player) a harsh lesson.

The gameplay was fairly simple, consisting mostly of typical platforming and puzzle solving and Conker only had a handful of moves, like his double jump and tail hover. The only collectibles in the game are wads of cash that are necessary to progress further. But things picked up and became more combat oriented by the third act where you fight a wide variety of enemies like the evil Tediz, Zombies, and Weasel soldiers with an assortment of weapons, like a shotgun, duel submachine guns, and a bazooka.

The game has a strong cinematic feel to it, thanks to the fantastic cutscenes. There are film references everywhere: the intro takes after "A Clockwork Orange", "It's War" was a gritty and bloody take on Saving Private Ryan, and "Heist" parodied the slow-motion action of "The Matrix". The final boss was even a Xenomorph from "Alien". The British humor was brilliant and side-splittingly funny; very few games made me laugh as hard as this one did.

The music was great and dynamic. The oldies style music of the hub world Windy was very catchy and spritely, then there was ancient tribal theme of Uga Buga, the low and eerie theme of Spooky, and the (in)famous Sloprano opera accompanied by the Great Mighty Poo's surprisingly beautiful singing voice provided by Chris Marlow. The sounds and voice acting were excellent, considering director Chris Seavor performed 90% of it.

The game pushed the N64 to its absolute limits, and it shows because the graphics and sounds were gorgeous for the system. The levels had beautiful coloring and strong textures like the glowing lava pits in Uga Buga, and the blood-dyed water on the shores of Tediz Island. Other visual effects like sparks from bullet impacts, explosions and smoke clouds, and water dripping off Conker after swimming looked great too. Conker even conveyed full facial emotions and eye movement, and he had full lips sync, as did most of the characters.

Downer ending aside and the disappointing fact that no true sequel will be made, Conker's Bad Fur Day was a marvelous game created late in N64's life and one of the funniest I've ever played. Even today, it remains a cult classic that's still enjoyable.

    So it comes to this

After they made Banjo-kazooie and Donkey Kong 64 I remember them saying they were going to make another game with one of the characters from Diddy kong racing, with a squirell named Conker. Now basically I had heard nothing of the content of the new game until I saw the rating on the box and the picture of Conker with a beer. And people that did know told me to steer clear of this one. Immediately I convinced my parents to rent the game, Conkers BFD. I was thinking, "How far would Nintendo and Rare go to make a mature audience game". Sure enough this was the funniest crudest game I have played since Clayfighter 63 1/3. Nowhere else can I play a game where you get drunk and p**s on people or fight an opera singing boss made entirely out of S**t. Unlike Banjo-Kazooie, not only does it have strong language, bathroom humor, and even a bit of sexual themes, but you also don't spend endless searches for items and stuff to get what you need to defeat the boss. Instead it consists of context sensitive zones that just gives you what you need.

Also lots of scenes from different movies in the game that will make most adults laugh as well. I highly recommend you play this game. Great graphics for a game that doesn't use the expansion pack and cut scenes as well with good voice overs (hence the british accents). And the best multiplayer Rare has given in a while. Even if some of the gross humor might come as silly and ignorant you will like it nonetheless. Overall you should go and get the total experince that is Conker, who has come a long way from a boring racing game.

    An interactive Ralph Bakshi movie

Conker breaks all the rules in Conker's bad fur day. It's one of the best N64 games of all time.

Conker is a little squirrel who must stop the Panther King before he takes over the world. Conker must find his way home and meet up with Barry. But this isn't just a kiddy game. CBFD is a raunchy adult game with ironic colorful cartoon graphics.

    GAMEPLAY

Conker unlike other 3D platformers at the time doesn't rely on collect-a-thons but rather solving riddles and puzzles. This gives SO MUCH to the narrative. Conker will go up to NPC's and perform favors in return for anthropomorphic money. Hijinks will ensue. This being said combat boils down to context rather than attack. This may not be fun as say Banjo but it moves quite a long well.

Conker will fly with his tail to elevate to platforms. Each level will be a reference to a movie. From Matrix, Private Ryan to Clockwork Orange. This game has it all.

Conker gains health and life by tails and chocolate.

Cutscenes cannot be skipped. This is makes some levels unnerving.

    GRAPHICS

The Graphics of Conker's Bad Fur Day are insane. The best graphics the console has to offer. Every drop of power the 64 has is spent on this game. The art is cute but is bloody, sexual, and violent.

Every polygon is spent on Conker and every character.

You will see baked lighting textures. They are super sharp and superior.

The animation helps make the Conker come to life. Everything has amazing kinetic animation that gives the game an almost timeless appeal. Visuals that wouldn't look out of place 2001 PS2 game. As a result the resolution and frame rate suffer.

If CBFD was any proof of what George Wood claimed that the N64 could produce Toy Story Quality graphics Conker would be it.

    SOUND

The sound in Conker's Bad Fur Day is amazing. You will hear swearing, British voices, and the great mighty poo. This makes the game hilarious.

    The music ironically cheerful to.

    OVERALL

Conker's Bad fur day is really worth a buy.

    Crude but it's still funny

I started playing Conker's Bad Fur Day for the first time on Microsoft Xbox One as Rare Replay in August 2018. I finished it in October/November same year so I took a break from playing it about few times I think. It's kinda crude and violent but it's a great game This game may look cartoonish and funny but it's definitely NOT for kids because it has lots of coarse language, violence, alcohol, tobacco and naughty stuff as we know.

In 2001, I hadn't realised why the British video game developer Rare decided to make an adult video game featuring Conker for the N64. I even thought Conker was a family-friendly franchise like Conker's Pocket Tales which was released for Nintendo Game Boy Color in 1999.

Anyway it's probably one of the best adult video games of all time and it's probably one of the funniest video games of all time as well.

    • Anecdotes
Following the games completion, Rare began working on a sequel titled "Conker's Other Bad Day" for the Nintendo GameCube but following Rare's buyout by Microsoft, Rare was told to remake Conker's Bad Fur Day for the Xbox. By 2008 the sequel project was officially scrapped. However, the script of the cancelled sequel's story survived thanks to the internet preserving it on various websites.
