Les Démons du maïs 7 : La Révélation

OK. First of all the plot summary listed here about fbi agents and a serial killer is completely inaccurate. The story here is about some chick coming to this weird hotel to try and find her missing grandma..uh huh. Any-who grandma was the only survivor of a child cult that burned themselves and,and...yawn. I am a fan of the Children of the Corn movies , I find them silly fun with all that "He who walks behind the rows" talk, but you can add this to the terrible list along with "Urban Harvest" (pt.3) and "The Gathering" (pt.4). First off it is a must that these movies be set in corn fields! not a hotel with a patch of corn along the edge! Also this movie is only 82 mins long and it uses about all those minutes to establish that something weird is going on, that these freaky mute kids running around are not right in the head.. well DUH! And Wow was the lead chick dumb in this, even at the end of the movie I still don't think she had a clue about anything. This film lacks the cheese of part 2, the fun of part 5 and the art of part 6. It also lacks a hell of a lot more, but I ain't got that much time. I hope this series lives forever, so I better submit my script for part 8! If this one didn't kill it for good. I saw this 7th part for the first time recently.

This one started off very well with ample atmosphere n creepiness.

The building in the middle of almost nowhere, a single grocery store, the dark isolated alleys n the creepy building with its creepy corridors, all these added to the atmosphere but the conclusion isn't satisfactory n the ending seemed rushed due to the budget.

Michael Ironside is there for few mins n he seems to be lost. His character seems to be lost too.

Ok, a priest, a stripper, a pot-head & a granny walk into a row of corn... No it's not the start of a bad joke, just a insipidly bad movie. In this seemily up-teenth corny sequal, a woman goes to an evicted building looking for her granny where she meets the children of the... oh forget this, just know that I watch crap like this so you don't have to.

These COTC sequels aren't welcome by many horror fans,but,wait,this one has some things going for it.This has a coherent plot that approaches the story with abundant creepiness,foreboading sets,and well-crafted direction.When I heard the commentary on the HELLRAISER:HELLSEEKER dvd I found it interesting that that film used this film's sets.I need to play the 2 movies back-to-back.

Okay, let me start off, this movie was poorly written, but I have to say that it was *really* scary. Especially the little boy and the little girl that always walked around and never talked. To tell you the truth, I never exactly liked the original film. One of the reasons I rented this was because on the back it mentioned it was from the producers of "Dracula 2000", which I enjoyed. Otherwise, I don't think I would have rented it. I give Children of the Corn: Revelation a 6 out of 10.
