Avis à la une
This is quite an engrossing game. It may be further testimony of its qualitly, that the only thing I could realy criticise it for would be its size. It's either too big a game or I'm getting too old for Zelda (nah - you're never too old) The "plot" would have to be one of the most unique around, but figuring out how the gameplay operates around the whole "3-day" concept is quite intriguing from the offset. I won't divulge any more for fear of spoiling it for any new players.
It's a refreshing addition to the N64 catalogue, with so many "samey" games out there at the moment. Definitely enough to keep any Zelda fan happy, and a must for your N64 collection. 8/10

Yes, this was nothing more than a rehash of Ocarina, but it was a good one. For the first time ever, two Zelda games have, pretty much, the same play style. And, best of all, they got rid of all the annoying stuff from Ocarina of Time. Don't get me wrong, I loved that game. But the fairy was really annoying with her constant, "HEY !!!!" yelling. And the game was very slow in the beginning because it forced you to read every little explanation of how to play the game. Everything that was not perfect in the first one is perfect here.
Yes the game was a little shorter than the first, but there's so much more to explore in this one. It's focusing more on the people of the land you're in. Imagine all the things that happen over the course of three days. And you get to see it all! It's great. I loved following the mailman around on his routine. You get to save a couple's marriage. How cool is that?
Overall, it's a great game and very worthy of the Zelda name.

This has to be the best computer game that i have ever played on any format. The storyline is brilliant and the gameplay is supurb. This game will take ages to complete and theres so much to do in order for the game to be completed. The only dissapointing thing about this game is that there is no fishing mini game like in ocarina of time but still the other mini games more then make up for this. This is the best game ever and i cant wait for the new Zelda game on the gamecube.
Yes, you may laugh, but I actually LIKE, no wait, ADORE this Zelda game. A lot may have hated it, but to me, it was a breath of fresh air.
Like "Link's Awakening", Majora's mask is one of the few games that have very little or nothing to do with the Princess herself. Instead, it follows Child Link after his long quest in OoT. He searches for his friend (a bird faced scarecrow child), but as he does, he learns about a dark secret. His friend is possessed by a demonic mask and starts to wreak havoc. As Link pursues him (it?), he stumble upon the world that his possessed friend is causing trouble in. If that is not worse, a great conjunction will come, and the planet will collide with the moon in THREE days, so Link must go travel back and forth in time to save this world and his possessed friend before all is lost.
Between Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time both of them are awesome but Majora's Mask pull ahead, due to original plot and a lot of loose ends to tie up. The game is very non-linear, leaving you with a lot to see and do.
Thank goodness they released this on the "Zelda Collection" on the Ninendo Gamecube. I do not regret playing this at all.
BTW, the strange kid in the game is quite cute without Majora's MAsk ^_^

Once again, The Legend of Zelda series puts Link in another huge, puzzling adventure with one dungeon after another.
However, this never gets repetitive. Majora's Mask could possibly be one of the best Zelda games ever, surpassed only by Link's Awakening. First of all, I've got to mention the immenseness of this game.
Although the game centers solely around just three days, there are so many things you, as Link, can do. Everything is timed perfectly. What you do one day will affect what happens the next for better or for worse. Everyone will always be at one certain place at one certain time. Nothing is random in this game, which makes it perfect for a time-traveling adventure. Everything is positioned according to time.
The graphics also jump a step higher than Ocarina of Time's, keeping out glitches that nearly killed Ocarina of Time.
The music is also really great. Koji Kondo put a lot more effort into this game than Ocarina of Time. I bought the soundtrack to Ocarina of Time, which was a waste of money since the music was really low. I got Majora's Mask's soundtrack for free with a subscription and expected it to be like Ocarina of Time's, but I was amazed at how movie-like some of it gets. For the record, I got the soundtrack before I got the game.
The game, although it only has four dungeons, is not short at all. A lot of time will be spent running through Clock Town as a Deku Scrub at the beginning.
Like all puzzle games, frustrating points pop up frequently, like trying to reach Snowhead Mountain, for example. This game could have been better if it was maybe a bit easier in some points.
If you get the chance, you should really try this game out. It is unlike any Zelda game you have ever seen. Also, check out the soundtrack if you ever find it.

- AnecdotesOne of the few Zelda games in which Ganon does not appear.
- GaffesCertain creatures are seen using a single rotor blade to hover. Nothing can hover with anything less than 2 rotor blades.

- Versions alternativesIn this game's original Japanese version, there were three save files. However, the only time when players could save their games was when they played the Song of Time to warp back to the beginning of the three-day cycle. When the English version of Majora's Mask was being developed, Nintendo added an interrupt-save feature, which would not actually save the data permanently (as playing the Song of Time would), but instead kept the in-progress data in memory until the next time the file was opened. Due to space restrictions, however, this feature forced Nintendo to remove one of the save files for the English-language release, making it the first and perhaps last Zelda game to feature only two save files rather than the traditional three.
