the worst ever

UGH!...this is the worst Wrestlemania hands down....no good matches.....Hulk Hogan rears his over tanned bald head yet again in the main event, the spot light hoggin scum!....not one thing note worthy on this tape, oh..I take that back...this is Jim Ross's first WM...but other than that....it has nothing worth seein....a major bust...

Terrible! The Worst WrestleMania ever! WrestlMania IV even beats this out! Too much Hogan at the end really ruined it as he was just too old. Match Of The Night ironically though, went to Hogans match (**3/4). The Doink stuff was horiific.

Not Recommended.

Iconic in Pictures

Taking a beating in the reviews and I know why weaker than Mania 2 the worst to date of The Wrestlemania. What I will say on the positive side is for good or bad reasons this one is memorable. With moments that stand out that even in pictures you instantly know It's this mania.

One of the best WrestleManias ever

OK, you have got to admit it, wrestlemanias don't get more better than this one. There are superstars at their best, and major ones to, such as Bret 'The Hit Man' Hart, Crush, the Hulkster ( Hulk Hogan) and Yokozuna! There is also Doink the Clown, in fact TWO Doinks! Also, you can see Randy Savage squaring of against the Ultimate Warrior! WrestleMania holds spectacular battles and also an Undertaker and Jake 'the snake' Roberts. You can watch these battles in "The History of WrestleMania," a DVD which comes free in a smackdown vs. Raw game for the PS2. There's all kinds of matches at WrestleMania, but whatever you do, please, don't try this at home!

Anecdotes
Matt Osborne stated in a radio interview that originally Doink the Clown was supposed to feud with Hulk Hogan leading up to a match at WrestleMania IX, but Hogan turned down the idea.

Gaffes
Shawn Michaels is able to return to the ring quicker than a ten count in the closing moments of the match; a mistake. To improvise, Michaels trips referee Joseph A. Marella and drags him outside the ring to warrant a disqualification instead. However, Howard Finkel still mistakenly announces Tatanka victorious via a count-out.

The Coliseum Video release contained four extra segments:
After the Steiner Brothers vs. Headshrinkers match, Luna Vachon attacks Sensational Sherri in the medical room.
Just before the Mr. Perfect vs. Lex Luger match, Raymond Rougeau interviews Bret Hart, as they bring up Luger knocking out Bret at the WrestleMania Brunch earlier that day. Bret says that he'll still be OK to defend the WWF World Championship against Yokozuna, and that Hulk Hogan gave him a serious pep talk.
Just before the Undertaker vs. Giant Gonzales match, Gene Okerlund knocks on Doink's door and asks him if there really was a second Doink who helped the original Doink defeat Crush earlier. Doink refuses to answer and shuts the door. Gene starts thumping on the door demanding an answer, until the second Doink walks past him and into the dressing room, leaving Gene stunned.
After the PPV ends, Kamala is seen playing with the elephants at Circus Maximus.
