George Carlin: George's Best Stuff

Some of George Carlin's stand-up comedies can be pretty controversial, especially when he makes fun out of issues like abortion, politics, and sexual habits. This sort of dark humour is the reason why he is dubbed as "the dean of counterculture comedians".

This collection, which features some of his best comedy material from 1977-1990, is not as controversial but some parts of it are still, very predicably, pretty hilarious if you like Carlin's brand of humour. I really found the bit about cars and drivers to be particularly funny.

Overall, this is a good collection of standout moments from Carlin's stand-up comedies. But I do not believe that it contains his best comedy material; some of the best maybe. And I'm not so sure about that either.

I really liked this video. It showed some of Carlin's best comedy material (some of it I haven't seen in years) and it was still funny. Everything from the Seven dirty words, stuff, baseball and football, cars and driving, monopoly and dogs and cats had me in stitches. There is also a little added bonus for Carlin fans (like me), the stuff bit is not from Carlin on campus, but from the first ever Comic relief. Funny compilation, even if it isn't all perfect. A+
